I'm going to make this really simple for you, cos well y'know, I have to.

Just because you've lost family and friends to cancer and are OK with jokes about it, doesn't mean all people who've been in a similarly unfortunate position should therefore be ok with it also. In fact, some people are NOT OK with it.

You're not a spokesperson for cancer sufferers Dreamy, and you cannot generalise on behalf of them. Cos well you see, different people have different emotional reactions.

So there should be no jokes or questionable comments made at anyones expense on any matter in case somebody takes offence?

I did mate.
It was really a direct response to Wizardary who had said that he had recently seen a family member die from cancer and that he found the remarks distasteful. There seemed to me to be an inherent suggestion that all people effected by cancer would be more upset by the remark and I wanted to refute the suggestion. Perhaps I should have directly quoted what he said.

I, like everyone else on here, can only really speak on behalf of myself and as I said before, in the context of what is normally deemed acceptable on these boards to me Fabios's comment didn't seem in any way remarkable.
