O'Neil quits Villa

Martin O'Neill was slashed from 100/1 to just 16/1 to be the next manager to leave their post after reports that he has left Aston Villa.

Reports are circulating that O'Neill, who is due to lead his team into an FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, has walked out of the club following a dispute with chairman Randy Lerner over transfer funds.

O'Neill has enjoyed an impressive season at Villa Park this year, taking his side to the Carling Cup semi-finals and challenging for a top four place in the Premier League.

UPDATE

Aston Villa have since issued a statement denying that Martin has quit the club.

Either way, that's helpful in terms of fucking them up.

LOL. Ask Ryan, he's bound to have some inside knowledge.

Why would he quit when he can't spend until the end of the season anyway?? Random rumour of the year award goes to....

Wirral waiting for further developments.

They were talking about this on the radio tonight. Apparently the rumour had it that O'Neill has discovered that he was not party to recent talks with Man utd about the possible transfer of Milner in the summer.
