I think realistically, even with the players we have added, we can't expect to have a sustained run in the CL and yet challenge (or win) the title. It just seems a leap too far.
This year seems to be as good a chance as we are going to get to win it. Citeh is down with the winners' curse and seems to be gunning for the CL instead. Old toilet, we know what's happening there. Spurs are just spurs. Chelski and Arsenal are in "transition". Next year would be doubly hard but for this year, if we have our usual 1 week prep and "forego" the cup games, we would be very hard to beat.
Back to the CL, everybody seems to want to do well and win it this year. Barca, Juve, PSG, Citeh have all made their intentions publicly known. We still have the usual superpowers like Bayern, Real, and some underdogs like Roma, Ath Madrid and Spurs. It is going to be a one hell of a dog fight to get as far as we got last year.
I personally would like us to go 100% for the league. We would never get a better chance than this year.
