Where do you rank this in the greatest nights in Anfield history?

ah the 'Ghost Goal' as All the media and Mourinho fan clubs likes to call it..

Right up there.. Truly amazing feeling when that went in..

Shat me pants when Gudjohnson narrowly missed at the end though 😱 ..

Magnificent night all round, right up there with St.Etienne and other classic European games. Another incident I like to recall came in the second half when Terry brought down Cisse, who got up off the floor raging and made Terry backpedal rapidly, then turned to the crowd and made the same gesture with both arms that Stevie made in Istanbul after his goal, before running into the middle with that warrior look on his face.

The "ghost goal" bollocks used to annoy me initially, but I've long since stopped bothering about it. Any referee will tell you (and I've heard some say as much) that Cech would have had to go if the game had been stopped and a peno awarded instead.

Fuck me! What a night (morning for me as I was in Oz at the time) As some have said I almost fainted when the ball fell to Gudjohnson in the 92nd minute or whenever it was. Also 'ghost goal' my arse! Even the Anfield tea lady said it went in and as we all know.... She NEVER lies!

6 Minutes of stoppage time!!! Where the fuck did they get that from!

Massive 'likes' for that @refugee - I still can't believe Nunez and Traore played! Anyone that ever doubts loving the redmen should just watch that clip. Restores all faith imho.

Nice one Refugee.

Props to Mourinho and Terry for their graciousness afterwards, even if Mourinho has made a continual @rse of himself over the goal since. [Runs]

I never saw the game live, does anybody have an extended highlights or anything? The only thing I can ever find is the atmosphere...

Not in my top three but I didn't go to that one.

St. Etienne - I was 9 and I simply cannot remember any of the game between them scoring and David Fairclough running the length of pitch to score the winner. In my memory the noise made it feel like an eternity although I've since watched on YouTube and it just looks like any other goal and he only ran about 20 yards!.

THAT game with Arsenal - I cried ... a lot.

(cheating) The '78 European Cup final - the only one I saw with my own eyes

How did eidur miss that one I will never know! I was on me honeymoons and had to seek special dispensation,

These are the videos I turn to when my North American friends ask me what football is all about.
It might be the fact I've had a few pints, but these movies bring back so many memories.
I'm sick of people talking about how they've fallen out of love with football, or they hate the direction the club is going in.
It's us as supporters and fans that depict how we're represented as a club. I love boasting of the fact we out sang the Milan fans 3 nil down at half time in Istanbul. I also know as soon as we reach any of these nights again (which we will) we'll show ourselves to be the most passionate supporters there are.
