I think you need to so some research Wiz, you might not remember it but Terry got plenty of headlines initially . And some sections of the media did condemn him. The difference was things cooled off because the trial was put back to the summer.

Maybe I'm forgetting but I don't remember it being nearly as bad as what Suarez dealt with - but that's partially due to how we dealt with it too.

Nope, but you've been a proponent of the xenophobia theory.

I'm all ears

I really can't be bothered to "debate" with you. After all, you're right and all that legal knowledge you have means I'm not in the same league as you. So I'll just agree that your opinion is right.

Of course there are agendas but you have to admit that one of those agendas is to sell papers and Suarez makes sure time and time again that his name sells.

The sad thing is the media here in the uk at least was turning around and in some quarters defending him, talk about shoot yourself in the foot. Also he has quite obviously NOT dived recently staying on his feet several times when others would have gone down. Cant blame him for being bitter about the Evra thing though - if I had been racially abused ( as he was ) and then been banned for it I think I would be pissed off and resentful

The Terry case was probably quieter because it was a court case that was put back. Consequently comment on it before the trial was not possible. Then the cunt got off.

A few journos did question why the FA did not subsequently hand down the same suspension to Terry as they did to Luis. But not as much as they should have.

My amigo in Uruguay tells me the reaction there has been rather different from the one after the Evra business. Then pretty much everybody was up in arms about the treatment Luis got. This, though, they see as a clear mistake for which the club is fully entitled to discipline him.

Apparently, the interview was aired on Fox USA last night and Danny Dicchio (sp?) said that one or two of the UK papers were going to be starting a dive count for Suarez this weekend. Still, no media agenda is there? Fucking laughable

I think they should do it. A dive count across the board. Bale, Suarez, Young, Gerrard, Reina, Terry, fucking everyone. Name and shame them every week. Hopefully it'll go someway to eradicating it.
Even if they do just on Suarez, who cares, I'd rather he stays on his bastard feet anyways, he scores most of the time when he does.

There is no witchunt ffs.
Rodriguez and Bale have been savaged recently all over the press for diving. If they were fucking stupid enough to say they did it they would be savaged furthe.
The witchunt is on divers and cheats. For the past few months ive heard so many pundits and press praising him and saying how he is the best player in the league......then he goes and does something fucking stupid again.

I feckin care about a witchhunt against our only world-class player.

I think the point is that it's not exactly a witch hunt when he openly admits to doing it. Now every time that he does go down without obvious contact you can't blame anyone for assuming he's diving.

I admire his honesty, but sometimes you're best keep your mouth shut.

Bale savaged by the press? Ha, yeah right.

I agree with JJ. There's nowhere near the attention on the likes of Bale, Young, Cazorla etc.. as there is on Suarez and the same goes for John Terry on the racism thing. John Terry for fucks sake, the man is absolute pond scum on and off the pitch yet is actually held in high regard by some of the press. It's fucking bollocks. They can rip Suarez to bits for all I care but at least make it fair across the board because it fucking isn't.

It'd be a witchhunt if wasn't guilty of these things.

You're probably right they he gets more attention than some, but not many are guilty of as many things as Suarez is. In fact I don't think anyone is.

Oncy: no, because it's not what you claimed it to be. It's a count of dives by all players. And look who comes out on top.

You and your fucking agenda Bell.
Honestly mate I think its embarassing I really do.
Even if, EVEN IF there was a bias and a witchunt against Suarez its the equivalent of Balotelli doing DUMB shit and then wearing a why always me t-shirt. WHY? Because you do dumb shit.

Hmmm, so the Italian league is full not only of cheating, match fixing cunts but cheating diving cunts too ?

Oncy: no, because it's not what you claimed it to be. It's a count of dives by all players. And look who comes out on top.
I dont even know what you are talking about JJ.

'BALE IS THE WORST DIVER IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE'

becomes

'WITCHUNT ON SUAREZ'

What.evs.

First para: I simply don't agree. Others are guilty too, some to a greater extent (see Oncy's last post) but don't get put under the same spotlight, as you yourself accept. That's a witchhunt right there.

Second para: some folks keep saying this. I'd like to see the evidence.
