What a player. I am so pleased he's playing for us that I'm praying he'll stay after the loan ends.
Adds some sublime fooballing intelligence, passing and skill to our midfield.

Gerrard looks better with Allen and Sahin aswell. Exciting times ahead.
 
He's a lovely player. He is fully aware of his surroundings and has excellent game intelligence.
He strolls around moving the ball with ease. Hope we can work out a deal to keep him.
 
I was watching the Carlisle spurs match on Wednesday and I said to my mate this kid is a great player and will get at least 10 goals and 10 assists this season doing great so far lol
 
Sahin or Shelvey? I mean is this really a debate? I really hope we try to hang on to this guy. He's had a fucking incredible impact on us. I really like Shelvey, but 3 goals and 3 assists already? Shelvey doesn't hold a candle.

Er I don't think anyone was suggesting it was a debate, just the situation we're likely to be left with at the end of the season. Obviously I hope otherwise.
 
I think he stays even if we don't finish 4th - it just depends on how much he likes it here, how he sees the club going and what $$$ we can offer him ... If we finish 4th, almost positive he'll stay

They'll ask for 10-15 ... They don't have room for him in their team, esp with Modric signing ... Maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic, but I think he won't be as expensive as 18-20.
 
Looks superb so far and really seems to have integrated well with he other lads. Hope he stays and is the kind of player we should be prepared to pay the money for, like we did with Alonso, Mascherano, Torres etc. He's definitely potential world class level. Let's hope we can get a forward of a similar ilk.
 
Didnt we pay a loan fee as well? I think Real would be happy to accept around £15 Million

That bolded bit is the crucial factor IMO. If he enjoys his stay enough, he may be willing to give us time to get where we (and he) want to be.
