I've had quite a few good discussion on here with regards to talent and unknown players over the years, which is one of the reasons why i love 6CM, but backing one player in particular to come good have got me more stick than anyone else.

That player is Nikclas Bendtner.

People has seriously questioned my sanity on this one and to some extent, if you only watched his bad games, I wouldn't even blame them.

But the fact of the matter is that 21-year-old forward has now signed a new 4-year-extension on his ongoing contract with Arsenal securing him little less than £15M overall.

According to todays Daily Mirror major clubs like Barcelona, Inter and Bayern Münich were all in the hunt for his signature to the end but he choosed to stay in London after all.

Now, showed interest and big pay-checks in itself is not a guarantee of someone's succes but I'm still entitled to highlight this as a little token on my sanity after all.

*Or at least to underline that I'm not the only one with a screw loose.

Sure he is tall, athletic and has a good touch.
But his goal record is pretty poor and more often than not he seems to pick the wrong option.
When Walcott returns to fitness I can't see a place for him in the starting XI.

I don't think I've actually used the Maradona-comparison but I'm quite sure I've gone way over the top in my praisal at times - that's often what happens when an argument turns colorless and we're only discussing in black and white terms.

I know some people think Bendtner's a dick but in comparison with Adebayor he's more of a tiny willy.

One of the main reasons to Arsenal's great start to the Season (Arshavin aside) is because of the fact that Adebayor and Toure has left I'm sure.

It's not very common that Danes are standing up for fellow Scandinavians mind and vise versa especially not if they are as poor as Kvarme was.

I have said on numerous occasions on here that I believe him to be one of Liverpool's worst players ever. Upthere alongside Piechnik.

Riise and Heggem were boss though.

Perhaps - it's a move that suited both parties in the short term at least. But Arsenal are reliant on goals from midfield as a result, however their talent in this area ensures it's perfectly realistic.

Bender is shit. Arsenal have about 14 middielders injured, they are playing a 4-3-3 , and Bender has played about 30 seconds of football in the league this season.
The only reason he has been given a new contract is so that he does not walk away for fuck all next year. Notice how his extension was not even announced when they announced the extensions of proper first teamers like RVP and Denilson.

If I'm not mistaken he's started every game apart from the United-game? He's definitely figured in every Arsenal-game so far and he's probably enjoyed more playing time than say Eduardo.

£15M is a lot of money to splash on a shit-player don't you think, just to tie him down? Doesn't make sense really.
