I'm not sure he would/could be any better of a player. But he's going to take whoever he plays for as a vehicle for money. I mean, fair fucks some might say, but he's going to fuck up whoever he plays for for his own gain.

I’m surprised Zaha’s gone to a sub par league in Turkey, given he’s still got 2-3 seasons to offer at the top level. I imagined a Milan side or decent Spanish side might have been in for him as a free agent.

I'd say it's about right tbh....Newcastle maybe overpaid slightly for him but it's not exactly 70m for Pepe or 80m for Mudryk is it?

It surprises me TBH. Silva had a rep in Portugal for being hand in glove with agents to join clubs, help the agents move players on from those clubs and then scarper, and he was defo chasing the money when he joined the bitters. Maybe the way that turned out persuaded him of the error of his ways.

£40m for Gordon was the piss take as he was never worth over £20m, Barnes is actually established in the Prem and just off the back of his best season....he's never gonna turn out to be a Sadio but you know, Newcastle aren't Liverpool.
