Former Man City communications chief Tyrrell appointed at Liverpool
By James Chapelard
Manchester City's former head of communications, Paul Tyrrell, has been appointed as head of press at Liverpool Football Club.
Tyrrell left Manchester City in 2008 after reported clashes with executive chairman Garry Cook. The appointment follows a shake-up of Liverpool FC's communication department.
After leaving Manchester City, lifelong Liverpool fan Tyrrell worked as freelance consultant with Wilmslow-based Kickworldwide and with Bell Pottinger North, where he set up a new sports and sponsorship division.
