Alight treacle,no need.

getting paid lots of money to play footy and then getting bevvied up while rumping loads of italian birds.... the lucky lucky bastard...

Gosh he's strong isn't? There's a couple times where defenders are running towards the ball and he just completely throws them off their path. He also appears to be quite pacey, running at defender with skill.

Looks exactly like Rafs's type of player if you ask me.

Post the one where he dives head first into the advertisment hoardings. He's a nutball.

Napoli chief vows to punish Lavezzi

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned reported Liverpool target Ezequiel Lavezzi that he must show more commitment.

The Argentina international has been linked with a summer switch to Anfield, with the player's agent helping to stoke the speculation.

Rafael Benitez has been quick to distance himself from the reports, while Napoli insist no offer has been received, but Lavezzi's head has been turned.

He is now believed to be holding out for an improved contract to stay in Italy, or seal a move elsewhere.

That has angered Napoli supremo De Laurentiis, who feels player power in the modern game is too great.

As a result, he has vowed to let Lavezzi rot in the reserves for the remainder of his contract at Stadio San Paolo should he continue to display a lack of loyalty.

"If he does, he will not play," said De Laurentiis.

"He will stay out of the side for the next two years. Imagine what damage that will do to his profile."

he does look impressive in this compilation

Far better clip this - a few things, and yes, I know it's a 'short clip':
1) he seems to be quite pacey
2) he is strong on the ball
3) he seems to find his teammates in the box a lot ...

he is always going to find his team mate in a compilation though, otherwie it will just be a bad unpopular video.

Hmmmmmmmmm........

Agent: Lavezzi turned down move to Liverpool

Author: Nigel Brown
Posted on: 16 July 2009 - 13:08

Argentine international and Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, nicknamed 'El Pocho' which means the chubby one, has turned down the opportunity to join Liverpool. Talking exclusively to Sport.co.uk Lavezzi's agent Frederic Guerra revealed that Rafa Benitez was keen on the international, but admitted that the 24 year-old was only interested in staying in Italy with Napoli.

Talking to Editor Nigel Brown, Guerra said: “Liverpool, well I know many people in Liverpool but i'm afraid he doesn't want to change club. He is happy at Napoli. They are interested but he doesn't want change.â€

Lavezzi scored seven goals in thirty appearances for Napoli last season.

Btw. I really think that Rafa should be known as "El Pocho" from now on.

Rafa came out and said this was shite weeks ago. I can't believe his storytelling agent is still blagging this tale.

Hilarious that his chairman attacked him in public for sleeping with prostitutes and now they will have to make nice!

Napoli Chief Launches Scathing Attack On Lavezzi

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has slammed wantaway striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Argentina forward seems increasingly likely to be heading for the door after his demands for an improved contract were rejected by Napoli.

And De Laurentiis has launched a scathing attack on Lavezzi, saying he is not worth more money.

"We are equipped to deal without Lavezzi, partially too," he said. "Lavezzi wants to re-examine his financial position but that is not possible because it's not as if he got us into the Champions League or Europa League, so what does he want?

"Sport should be an image of manners and serve as an example and what image are we giving if then these values are betrayed?

"And for what, for seven goals? Lavezzi scored seven goals, it's not as if he scored 27.

"He's a sporadic player. He's not the new Maradona and his return does not help the team, him or the result.

"For the moment the club remains on its position, we haven't made a mistake, it's who leaves the squad to go away who makes the mistake; if an actor had behaved like him he would have been eaten."

Looks like he is on the outer at Napoli.... will be interesting to see if Rafa rekindles his interest in him, but my money would be on Juventus.

Sounds like a right charmer doesn't he?

Rafa was categorical that Liverpool never had an interest in this chancer. Benitez intimated it was a case of a player using Liverpool to negotiate an improved contract, and everything points to that being the case.
