He is fucking me off, looks lazy cannot be bothered and about as world class as my arse.

Unless a new manager can get the best out of him in the next few months I would be quite happy to sell him at the end of the season.

The way he has played for over 6 months (injuries aside) does not merit his world class tag and he is not the player he used to be.

Fucked off

I hope our next manager can get him firing again if only to push up his price tag. At this rate he is worth no more than Kuyt in the transfer market.

Don't blame him, the whole fucking TEAM is playing shite, and its 100% down to the manager and tactics.

Keep the faith.

I no longer care about how any of our players are performing, or at least I'm not going to judge them on how they're performing for Roy. I think we need to wait and see how they perform for a competent manager.

I agree. I used to of the opinion the the players needed to take their share opf the blame. But this manager is so incompetant that I find it difficult to lay the blame antwhere but at his door.

Im amazed he is still in the job

He does seem to be sulking but he IS Fernando Torres so we would be mad to sell him when we know what he can do.

We can't get into a habit of selling our best players. Losing Alonso and Mascherano in successive seasons was bad enough, we can't afford to sell any more of our world class players.

Spot on.
Agree 100% with this and the three previous posts.

As good a header of the ball as Nando is, who in their right mind other than Roy would have thought it a good idea to convert him into a target man to hoof balls towards.

Most, if not all, of our players are looking the same way as Torres, and thats down to one thing only...HODGECUNT!

Who wouldn't look fucked off having to play under such an inept manager? Let him manage any of the other Top 6 sides and he'll do precisely to them what he's done to us.

He's mid table quality at best, whereas Torres is not.

I thought he actually tried last night TBH.

He wasn't very effective, cos he was dropping deep but he was trying!

I said this a month or so ago, but I wouldn't be that sad to see him leave. He's too injury prone and far from his 2007 form. Do you think we could get 40m pounds for him? If we get a 40m+ pound bid, I would take it.

If we had a proper manager, who knows how to select and manage the team, I would not for one second consider selling him.

No doubt the world class replacements will be clambering over themselves to join us.

"I can't wait to play with David N'Gog" said Carlton Cole.

"I'm looking forward to playing in front of Paul Konchesky" said Joey Deacon's reanimated corpse (via translation by that bloke who used to look after him)

The manager is shite but the players deserve a huge chunk of the blame, alot of them are vastly experienced now and know how to work hard and close down, Nando looks half arsed AND he's missing good chances infront of goal.

That's why Nando missed another sitter? Come on, I agree they're not closing down like they were, which can only be down to the tactics the manager employs, but there's no excuse for some individual performances this season, and that goes heavily for Nando too, he looks like he doesn't give a fuck. Rather telling that he can turn it on against Chelsea but he looks sulky and half-arsed against everyone else.

Part of me thinks that's funny, the other part wants to go on a killing spree.

Mark you know full well not ANY Striker EVER puts away all his chances, not Sir Roger or Rush or Fowler or Nando, ANYONE can miss a sitter, and EVERYONE does from time to time.

Yeah I know mate, but if his hearts not in it, it's certainly showing. Maybe it's partly confidence, but aside from the missed chances (and there have been a few now), sometimes he really has looked like he doesn't give a shit.

I agree he does not want to be here, maybe it is since Rafa went I don't know.

One thing is for sure any manager with Nando playing the way he is would struggle, he is supposed to be the main goal scorer, the 20PL goal man.

Watching him play is painful, mainly because you know what he is capable of.

When he isn't even getting chances, thats when his hearts not in it mate.

As long as he is missing them, he is trying

I don't think it's because Rafa left. When Rafa's future was up in the air, Torres said in so many words that whatever the outcome he wanted to stay. I think it started when we didn't strengthen the squad properly in the summer, and it's continued because Roy is incompetent at this level and can't train or set up a team to play well enough to support someone of Torres' class adequately.

Of course tactics are part of it, but Torres has obviously been promised the squad would be improved and that we would be competing for the league and he's been grossly let down. His on the pitch attitude was visible during the Benitez era too.

The bottom line is he's much too good for us and he doesn't have a boyhood love of the club keeping him here.

It sucks, but there we go.

When I and others said this of Rafa, we were told that the players had to take their share of the blame, that he didn't send them out there with instructions to be shite, and it wasn't his fault SG and Torres were acting the diva...

Now it's all on the manager..?

Note: NOT trying to bring up the Rafa argument again, just pointing out that a different opinion of a manager / player can often make people take different stances on identical situations.

And yes, of course, Roy's a f$%!ing disaster and should be eliminated immediately.

Rafa's distaster 4 points off 4th would be a monumentus season for him if Roy could ever do it, and the papers would be full of praise.

Perspective though. Rafa's 5th place finish was a season after finishing second and on top of spending of money in the transfer market over two seasons. Not to mention it being 6yrs into the job.

Expectations were different, though I don't think anyone expected it to be this disastrous.

Expectations are different. But Roy has performed way way lower in regards to comparative expectations. I don't think anyone would argue that Rafa would have us in this position too. Not that I want Rafa back, but to compare Roy to compare is an insult to one of most successful managers.
