These days you just don't get to appreciate fresh baked bread that just come out the oven like you used too...

Bakers have been killed off by supermarkets

I remember as kid my nan sending me to Asda Bakery in Birkenhead in the morning. She lived round the corner in Elm Street.. Come back with a loaf of fresh baked bread that just come out the oven

She had the bacon and butter ready in time for when I came back.. butter would instantly melt soon as it hit the bread..

Nothing like it..
I have always ALWAYS prefered a plain white sliced loaf thats nice and soft to any other type of bread.
Warburtons do a lovely plain white soft sliced loaf.

That sounds pretty lovely.

Peanut butter and banana is correct

Fried egg must be crispy and stacked in fresh fresh white with ketchup

Eggy bread with sausage inside is the real trick you're missing though...

A fried egg butty is a thing of beauty I agree. Soft white, butter, egg (runny), red sauce.......heaven.

At some point Aer Lingus had crisp sandwiches on their transatlantic flight menu.

There's a small bakery near us that does AMAZING bread. I've never tasted anything like it, I've no idea what they do to make it so nice, I think they must add crack to it or something. The opening hours are also a bit random, I think they just make a certain amount every day and close whenever they sell out.

Im going to Warrens on Warren Street. One of the finest sandwich places ive ever eaten.

I know that place - Fantastic! As a tip - hop over the road to Goodge street and and head to Yoisho for lunch. It's an amazing little Japanese izakaya. Go for the miso and pork ramen and with a side of gyoza- Or if particularly hungry a nice bowl of cha-han - I've been known to have all three! 🙂

Depends where you go - the place I go in the shuk/souk it's hot ...
I seen a Paul Hollywood tv show on the bakeries in Jerusalem recently.
He was blown away by them and the city.
Not sure if you l live there but I thought of you anyhow.
