I don't understand the mentality. so if an away side had previously won every single home game for the season and we were playing them next, roy would have no expectations of getting a point? why not send the kids out then and rest the players for a game he 'does' think we can win?

I would line the cunts up against a wall and give them a number. Odds get shot, evens play. It would halve the wage bill from 110m a year to 55 and I very much doubt the performances would suffer.

Brum has played 17 games without losing at home, and we've drawn our last 7 against them. I really thought that when Meireles came on, we'd win. Cause we looked much better, and played the ball to EACHOTHER for a change.

I had high expectations after the job Roy done at Fulham thinking that we have better players.

However after watching us play there is nothing to be excited about. I guess that we got what we paid for. Our team looks too ordinary to even have any expectations.

Agreed. It's baffling isn't it? especially as we've actually seen periods where we have played some good stuff. It's like we only bring out 'pass and move' for fuckin' anniversaries or something.

exactly.
the cliché is 'it's a marathon not a sprint' but that isn't an excuse to play for draws and hope the opposition lose, all that happens is the opposition disappear over the horizon and we are playing catch with no room for error in the closing stages. it's been this way for pretty much ten years now.

I don't think we do have a load of very good players. Most of them are just about ok and some are worse. That's why we should be giving Patches and Shelvey a chance.
