Can anyone see anything in our football club that's gives you any kind of positivity moving forwards ? Because I can't. 3 years of decline on and off the pitch with no sign of it stopping.

The probably vain hope that some of our reserves are the superstars of the future is about the only positive thing I can think of at the moment.
And they will probabaly get sold before they reach their potential.

I was worried this would be a positive thread
We have nothing to look forward to

The only brightside is that we have a really good crop of youngsters coming through.

However, all our top players will fuck off at the rate we are going and those kids will suffer for it.

The only thing keeping me going is the fact that maybe some miracle will happen and the yanks will be gone when the 6th of oct comes around.

Struggled not to turn the TV off during that game.

If they remain in charge beyond October, we truly are fucked.

I think Cole and Meireles will add a lot if they stay fit, Konchesky will do ok too, I'm not entirely pessimistic yet.

I'm still very positive.

What makes you this way ? Do tell.

The youth team is the only positive thing about the club at the minute.

Still having Torres, Reina, Gerrard

Thats something to be happy about

For how long though....October is a key month in Liverpools future. If Hicks stays on, we're fucked. Seriously fucked as a club.

we atleast have them til january at the earliest..

i thought id be angry if they leave, but now if they leave then i can understand why 🙁

We can always support Linkerton FC mate.

Seriously Sunny I'm still positive.
I believe in this team. I think we have a good balance and a good mix. Roys starting line up today was almost perfect (id have played Babel) and he showed that he can change a game (something he has done a few times already) and he seems to have the trust and belief of his team which is important.
Torres hasnt even started the season yet and Ngog is coming on well. Konchesky is miles better than Insua and we seem to be over the 'lucas must play' days.
The fixtures have been horrific to us and we all were expecting it to be a horrific start. The players will bed in the manager will get used to them and the fixtures will ease up. If we had Chelseas start to the season we would be top 4 no doubt so we need to take a breath and give the lads a chance to show us that they can perform. I trust them.

So anyways I was in the corporate bit in Wigan, and I stayed in the bar at the kick off to watch the end of our game, but when I came outside (our seats were halfway line back row so you can walk in and out of the lounge) there were all these stewards talking about the possibility of issues if Man City scored, as they had identified a group of four somewhere a few rows in front, and another couple of groups of two or three here and there. I was thinking that as far as I could tell the majority in the lounge had been City but whatevers. Anyways, I walked round and took my seat and ended up sat just in front of these guys, and as the footy was less than interesting listened to them talking amongst themselves and other similarly worried stewards over their walkie talkies.

City's end was pretty much full, but as the minutes ticked on and I was listening to the stewards received more intelligence on where there City cells had occupied the stand I was in, some idiot Wigan player heads it straight to Tevez who finished well. At least 2/3rds of the stand leapt to their feet and cheered. I just heard the stewards saying 'fuck it' before wandering off.

There is little to disagree with there Oncey but the problem for a team in our predicement is that momentum is vitally important. Although our points total so far this year is pretty much in the region of what would have been realistically predicted at the start of the season, we are already under huge pressure and any side we face in the next month or so, unless we start to turn things round really quickly, will fancy their chances against us, thereby making it even harder to gather that oh so vital momentum.

No need to hit the panic button just yet but I will be keeping my eye on it over the next few games at least.

[/quote]We've got NINE games before we face Chelsea and i think we will win 7 of them and draw 2. Hows that for positive attitude.

I hear ya KHL 😉
We do that and we will be well on the way to a top four spot and probably better.
Personally after the start we have had I would settle for a few less points than that as long as our team was still improving and growing in confidence.

You know what this place is like though.
Win our next three games and we will be Chelsea's main challenger for the title, don't win them and we are relegation bound.
