Mods adding to abuse rather than stopping it

Played the other night fella. Unless he’s a boss centre half or a goalie with actual arms, a brain and reflexes he’d have made fuck all difference. This thread is hilarious too. Some right mewling fuckers on here.

Its always a blast when we win. Init

It's funny that Macca takes offense to my swearing, I take offense to his sanctimonious self righteousness, so do a lot of people. God forbid, should someone disagree with Macca.

Anyway, can we move this thread into one of the more populated forum? GC or FF maybe?

I'd like to see this argument carry on for a bit, and for it to get the attention it deserves - and this stowaway forum is hampering that. Why does this forum even exist anyway?

Macca - I don't think Mark gives you anywhere near enough the respect you deserve.
Mark - Macca's got a point, you're clearly compromised in your dual role of Mod/Opinion-giver.

As you were...

Maybe you've missed half of what goes on, the sanctimonious strops whenever people disagree with his posts, the constant inability to apportion blame to Klopp, or any of his players by association, and again, the pissy fits he has when someone does. Look up his recent reactions to Fabio, or Pat, or anyone remotely critical of the current shambles, and then explain why he deserves more respect. He's not the first, nor am I, nor are you, to disagree ferociously and abusively with other posters, it's the nature of it.

Read his reactions to Fabio in the Holgate thread and his holier than thou, higher knowledge pretence and subsequent meltdown because Fabio gives an Everton player the benefit of the doubt.

Like I said about mod status, it's neither here nor there. I'm not referencing it or using it when I have an argument with another poster. It's hardly DJ Syd banning anyone who disagrees with him, I've banned one or two people since I started here and they were both just WUM's spamming the forum. It's hardly an abuse of power. With the greatest respect to other mods, I'm sure they're all capable of giving it out, I wouldn't for one second consider it an abuse of mod status.

Nor is playing under fucking Warnock, is it?

Big fan of Warnock are you as a coach?

"OK" as in "Yes,", "No,", "I misheard that as a racist remark," or "I'm too much of a tool to answer honestly"?

Maybe the mods should have a think about this, and then have a word with this...person. Frankly I think it's beneath comment, but I don't think he should get away with it.

This is in reference to Fabio saying the Grujic loan was a good move. Macca disagrees, has a few jibes, Fabio retaliates and Macca cries foul and comes here crying about it.

Respect him? My arse.

@mark1975 this doesn't impact me in the slightest, but does the forum have the ability with some tweaking to put mods on ignore? I see a few people moaning about mods just because they don't agree etc, and if it's other posters - it's piece of piss, you just whack them on ignore and carry on enjoying the forum. Being forced to see a certain mods posts is a bit draconian? I'm just thinking for a more harmonious environment for the people getting really wound up, it might help? They might get on with everyone else but might end up leaving because of it?

It's one thing to get abused by Fabio, who appears to have an exalted status that allows him to do as he pleases, but it's another thing entirely when Mark, a mod who is supposed to intervene in such a context, eagerly encourages it like some snotty little wimp jumping up and down in the school yard behind the resident bully. He does this time and time again, he abuses his powers as a mod just about every week and on matchdays innumerable times, and if you really take the role of mods seriously on here, it's about time you remove him from this position so that this stops happening. There's a line to be crossed and he's crossed it once to often.

Fuckoff you moaning old cunt 😉

*see what I did there ?*

I'm not the most technical when it comes to forums, but it's a good shout because it's been mentioned a few times now. If only to help Macca who uses the ignore function on anyone who disagrees with him. I'm sure FFF or Redninja might know a way around it.

the cat is Brendan btw... Markey giving him the 'Power'

Disclaimer: Brendan is a hero and is immune to any posts related to his historic Firmino bashing

In all fairness we allow the forums to self moderate..

We only step in when things get out of hand.. or Markey goes into a fit of rage... Usually caused by someone bashing his beloved BR

The problem is people can't seem to just ignore someone when they're being a twat.

I would hate to see what you're like in real life if someone's annoying you.

Just walk away init?
I don't think I've ever been annoyed at anyone in here. Which is funny because in real life people do my head in. Mostly I just can't be arsed getting wound up, especially on the football forum as I don't find my opinion so important that I'll crack up about it.

Still, some of the spats are hilarious.

I have seen people round on posters though and all put the mini-boot in, we all seen it happen to Modo or Brendon etc. And they should be entitled to their opinions however fucking stupid they are. But if you've got a handful of posters ploughing into you, including mods maybe, then surely it'd be just easy for them to whack people on ignore and carry on? If you've got to filter through every post smashing you because you've said mongolet is great or something, it must be a chore to get back into the thread.
If it's possible within reason, I don't see an option with enabling it myself. If a mod wants to warn someone, they can still send them a PM if they need to. A bit like when the dickhead one sent me a warning for calling Andy Carroll a long haired pikey.

The pikey comment someone reported

Need to act on them

And also, fuck people for having thick opinions

Weed out the weak so the strong remain

Hmmm you raise some good points there Mark.

@gkmacca you're not going to stand for this are you? He's pretty much calling you a hypocrite there.

A poster who thinks he's always right and has zero tolerance for other opinions? Not me, but you and Brendan, yes, without any doubt.

A poster who is routinely abusive and sarcastic to other posters? Not me, but Brendan, yes, without any doubt.

Those are pretty easy to check empirically, but if Mark wants to create an alternative reality merely by repeating the same old lies, well, it comes down to who thinks and who doesn't.

Mark used to be a very decent and amiable character. Then the Rodgers arguments came and he argued himself into a corner from which he still seems unable to emerge, and, although the number of people who disagree with him was and remains legion, he has somehow convinced himself that it was and is only me. Another bit of fantasy that he reinforced by saying it over and over again.

Do I seek out his posts, read them and respond angrily to them? No. I haven't even read any of the above. If I could put him on ignore, my god, I'd do it immediately. As it is, I try to avid reading whatever he writes. There's only one person trying to sustain this argument, and it's not me. There's only one person actively looking to get a reaction, and it's not me. Take the match thread. My half time post didn't suit his ridiculous stereotype he's created for me, but he is so full of bile he decided to rant away at me anyway.

I think he needs anger management lessons, or a long break to grow up, or a break from the drink, who knows, and if you find all of this amusing, good for you, but I'm sick to death of it, and if any of the other mods could stand back, look at the threads and reflect dispassionately about it, I think they'd agree that he's been out of order for a long, long, time.

for calling Andy Carroll a long haired pikey

When a girl hits the floor and it's not Collymore....andy Carroll

when your glassed in the face, by a mag with no pace....andy Carroll

when your cars set on fire, your called a knob and a liar.....andy Carroll

when your either in jail, hitting birds or on bail.......andy Carroll.

I barely mention Rodgers and cut Klopp more slack than many do, I also call him out when he fucks up and don't try to dress it up as excusable or someone else's fault. See the complete meltdown in the FA Cup the other night, a game where the hapless Matip showed again how poor he is, yet he wasn't really mentioned by Macca, it was down solely to those non-Klopp signings, Mignolet and Moreno (conveniently). Even though collectively we were awful and we clearly missed Coutinho creatively, another episode Macca has been keen to excuse.

It's a bit rich banging on about bias and agenda's Macca and then pinpointing my reactive posting to somewhere around the time it went pear-shaped under Rodgers (I was equally as passionate and argumentative about certain topics under Rafa and Dalglish too - look it up), I haven't mentioned Rodgers for a longtime, yet every time I get under your skin, it's your only retort.

Rodgers went and rightly so, my only "issue" that season was idiots giving him 10 game deadlines in the October, mere months after finishing second. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't tolerate the same treatment of Klopp, nor would I.

And considering you spent a year after Dalglish's departure, picking holes in everything Rodgers did, it's a bit rich going on about me being hung up on a previous manager. You're still fairly touchy about it now, should it get mentioned.

So like I say, you're a bit of a hypocrite.

Anyway, this is me being hung up on Rodgers, just for some context, I hadn't mentioned the guy in my posts you were responding to here, but you brought him up anyway:

(on Karius) He wasn't ready, you didn't know his abilities, it was blind faith. And well, well, well, Rodgers worshipper, you're now trying to explain away the fact that I've obviously argued against Klopp because it doesn't fit with your pathetic stereotyping. You really are a piece of work. Why don't you just put the green and white hoops on and float off to a nicer place?

It's a bit rich the one-man flag waver of undying love for Rodgers questions why he's mentioned. And before you labour into your only lamentably lazy and utterly otiose response, it's a bit different to thousands of flag wavers for someone else. Grow up.

(On Rosco's Klopp thread) Send him to Celtic, pronto.

Not the antagonist one bit eh?
