Genuinely love the guy but let's be real here, he's done. I don't care how many lactate tests he wins he's nowhere near the pace of the game anymore. He had the dubious accolade today of being both our worst defender and midfielder.

This is a season too far for him.

Did you not notice in preseason, when he played, then we played him the next fucking game in the other friendly. We played the motherfucker twice in two days. He's utterly blameless. The guy deserves a fucking apology from the club.

It's FSG and their reluctance to rejuvenate the squad which has caused much of the problem we're seeing on the pitch. September the 19th is League of Nations starts again and then in November we have the WC which is a saving grace, as a couple of weeks later the window opens up again. Now will FSG open the cheque book up and spend. Winter we need a RW and a MF. Brazilian league finishes end of December, which means Danilo becomes available
