People spout this hysterical shite all the time, in a league with 20 teams, I'm struggling to remember the last time we finished 10th or thereabouts. Maybe that's just me though. I'm struggling to remember when James Milner finished midtabe too.

While I appreciate that all top teams need players to work hard and have good industry. Milner provides this as do the other players I mentioned. What we don't have is some real class, something that Gerrard and suarez provided.

Tbe point I am making is we should be adding 3 players max in the summer of real quality. The 30 year old miners of this world will have us fighting for a top 6 like this year. I thought we had bigger ambitions than this. If not sign MIlner, he is good no doubt about it. Just hate seeing us waste money like last summer, in fact most of Rodgers signings (i do not dislike rodgers)
 
As with any deal, it's the details that matter. A 3 year contract on about 60k a week would be a decent deal.

A 4 year deal on 100k a week would be terrible.

Given our propensity to fuck up in these matters, I'd rather just stay the fuck away from him.
