Watching Brecia - Juve. That Tonali playing for Brecia is pretty good.

Ings scored two against Portsmouth.

Spurs are in trouble. Their best player is going to leave for free in 8 months and doesn't look on form in the meantime. They didn't show any ability to win without him as they tried to start the season with him on the bench. Now its kind of all hands on deck and its not getting better. There is a chance that for all of Daniel Levy's shrewdness, him digging his heals in one last time over Erikson might have knocked them out of the top 4 for awhile.

Did anyone even bid for Eriksen in summer?

He more or less said in July he wanted a new challenge so it can't really come as a shock to them.....

Eriksen seemed to imply that he was interested in a move to a big club in a different country, in a strong league, and made it clear that he wasn't really interested in just moving for the sake of it (or for the money), and if that didn't happen, he'd stay.

Real were an obvious preferred destination, but even so, the sort of clubs that he would be interested in (and vice versa) and could also afford him, isn't that huge.

He wasn't exactly agitating for a move, and nor was he going to be pressured into signing a new contract, or going to a club he didn't fancy.

I'm surprised Juve aren't in for him - they're building a nice squad there and i feel he'd be well suited to Italy.

It seemed like he was agitating for a move to me... but his preferred club, Real, weren't particularly interested. Not for the supposed 100M asking fee. Zidane wanted Pogba.

And as you say there aren't many alternatives.

Barca got De Jong and are struggling financially. Juve got Rabiot and Ramsey on frees.

I suppose the options will open up a bit more for him next summer.

Shit loads of empty seats at the Emirates

This is bad. I know it is supposed to be fun but all signs that the sport is unattractive is and news. It is down to everyone having bigger stadium, higher entrance fees and more money over all. It stinks as the sport itself is less attractive and available now. I remember a game against Stoke in PL (Suarez first home game). I was at the Kop but the stadium felt half empty.

I know this is only league cup but last week We saw the same at Old Trafford in Euro League. The worry is that the market is fucekd in a way that much foreigners come info the good games (I know I am a foreigner) in such numbers that the local that want to see a game is left with some shit game in some shit cup. That is betraying and taking for granted the local supporters. If Arsenal were better maybe more would come, but they are still good. As were we back in2011. But not quite good enough to charge the prices apparently.

Hope clubs take this seriously and arrange it different in the future. We need people in the stands.
