He's got swine flu.

There must be a joke in there somewhere.

Micah Richards, the Manchester City defender, spent the week in isolation after being diagnosed with swine flu. Richards complained of feeling ill after returning from a holiday last weekend but City were able to stop it spreading as the player is currently not back in pre-season training, having been given extra time off following last month's European Under-21 Championships. Richards is now thought to have made a full recovery but will continue to be assessed.

He has shown his intelligence in this quote - "At first I thought it was a really bad chest infection, or maybe alcohol poisoning."

I'm sure the Man City management will be happy finding out that he's drinking that much.

The sympathy shown in the amount of replies is overwhelming.

It's 'cause he's black.

Haha, yeah the SSN fella laughed along with sniggers from the co-presenter as he read that out earlier.

Silly boy. Maybe the journo who got the quotes was pretending to be A N other tourist & caught him unawares. Or maybe he was pissed when quoted.

I'm actually pretty pissed pissed off with his attitude since his initial breakthrough.

He has the abitlity to be World class but he seems to be content to tread water in the Prick Pool.

I dont think he does have the ability. I've never rated him & been slated for it.

He occasionally shows some glimpses, but there's something missing. Whether it's application, talent or simply his mindset I dont know, but he hasnt got it.

It's because he's black.

Physically got the stuff, not tactically and intellectually. Could use a better team of players around him, and better coaches.

He's just not particularly good at football really, is he?

[/quote]

Well, that isn't really true now is it B ?

Or are you saying that because he's black ?

Huh ? HUH ?!

I remember one of his youth coachs (maybe from that Brazilian soccer school) coming out and saying he's got (or will have) a better all round game than Gerrard during the period he was being hyped to fuck.

He's just got sucked into that bullshit world of Bentleys and Bling.

Heh, I also remember getting told that one of the reasons Miller was gotten rid of was to break him and Richards up like 'lil schoolboys in a classroom. Well either that or coz Miller wasn't very good.

On the subject of Mancherster City's youth development what happened to our one time target Michael Johnson?

Some thing happened to me in my burgeoning curling career, were in not for alcohol, drugs & women, I'd be up their with the curling greats today.

Curling is a great game. Surprisingly.

He is in with the wrong crowd apparently, loves the clubs, 'ice' (not the drug) and women. Frequently late for training etc.

He won't progress to the next level at city unfortunately.

Now this kid has well and truly lost his way. I saw a pic of him last week and he's a proper fat sod. Apparently, he's another that likes a drink a bit too much.
