You still wouldn't sell him in the next summer, if a say a £15m-ish came in for him? A big drop from what I would have asked for him at the start of the season. Anyways, the club needs to get a CB in now, buy one and get one on loan.

Reluctantly agree. I like him and would ideally prefer to keep him, but this is starting to get beyond the point of reasonableness now.

I've been advocating buying another CB for months, regardless of Matip's health issues.
No - of course not, but a team that wants to win anything cannot rely on him being CB1 or CB2 ... he's not reliable enough despite his obvious class.
I'm definitely with you on that. Another thing to remember is that he didn't cost us anything.
Wouldn't mind having him around as a 3rd or 4th option.
The real problem is that we went into this season with only 3 CB's.
I'm happy with him as CB3 or CB4 ... but we needed 3 CB options with him, and it was a Klopp fuck up.

We need to buy, but I don't think we will. Klopp doesn't strike me as one to go out and buy players, knowing he has injured ones there that he has put his faith in. He also doesn't like disrupting the harmony of the squad too much either, and anyone you bring in at this time of year is a risk.

He will buy because we need a centre back not just for 5 months but 5 years.
We (he) simply have (has) no option if Matip's injury is as bad as Jan stated. We can't go through to April with Fabs, Rhys Williams and Philipps unless we want to wave goodbye to a season where the PL is on a plate and the CL is still a reachable target.

Klopp knows it takes time to integrate players which is why he prefers summer windows.
I think Klopp didn't buy a 4th choice because he never ever thought his 1st choice 3 would be out for most of the season so wasn't his top priority. We need get couple on loan at the very least. The French clubs are in disarray supposedly, many of them will either be forced to sell or loan out.
