Behave yourself. Mascher let the side down in that one game against the Mancs (though Bennett was on a mission to hand them that game anyway) but he'd have won Athens for us if he'd been kept on, he won us the ManUre game at Anfield last season, he's put in any number of top displays besides those and the big teams clearly hate playing against him.

Very occasionally, granted, but not as the kind of general rule you seem to be claiming, Squiggs. Mascher's outburst yesterday - daft as it certainly was - may be down to the fact that Leeds were kicking ten bells out of us and that incompetent blert Wiley was practically encouraging them to do it. Yes, Mascher was also a fool to himself and us that time against ManUre, but how many other times has he gone that far?

Heh, you've waited for a rather opportune time in his career to gradually let the hate out. The mood may be a little more forgiving due to the rumours of him wanting to leave and so forth, but it doesn't make the above any less absurd.

He's played in over 60 games for us and only gotten one red card to the best of my recollection. And according to Wiki he received his first red card for the international side only last year. Does that really sound like the record of a fiesty defensive midfielder with an attitude problem? Or what... is it all just down to luck that he's not been sent off more?

And to say he's a disaster waiting to happen in the Traore mould... what the fuck?

I think you make an effort to be one of the more balanced posters on this site Squiggs and more often than not I agree with you, but in this case, you sound like a mentalist.

If Wiley saw it and decided that no action was needed, the FA can't do anything about it. And to me, it looked like he saw everything that happened.

TBH I don't think there were to much in it. Beckford is a cunt, and exeraggted for all that it was worth.
 
Blah, maybe you're right - but I have argued it before in the the 'players you dislike thread' and I'm the first to admit it's not entirely rational. But yes I do think he's been lucky not to have been sent off more given his position and his harassment/moaning at referees. If you're playing DM you're already a higher risk of picking up a yellow, he's doing himself no favours by these other antics.

Like I've said, it's just plain stupidity and an unwillingness to learn is very frustrating.

Decent player but I don't like him at all.

Apart from when he's already on a yellow, i've nearly always loved his attitude on the pitch.

We will also have an idea on Aqualani's capabilities by then, which could affect matters.

Mascher does not seem himself at the moment.

I think i'd prefer it to be done in January personally (if possible).

Maybe we can convince Aquilani's mate to come and join us?
 
Mascher's not been THAT bad so far this season, has he? A bit of overreaction going on in this thread. He won't be sold in January - what would be the point, for him, us or Barca? He'd be cup-tied for the CL, and so would practically any replacement we brought in. He can wait for the end of the season, and leave us as a league and CL winner.
 
I love Mascherano, I'm quite surprised to see all of the hatred. Last season there were several games where his obvious passion was infectious, helpful, and exactly what you'd want to see. It was lauded on here and elsewhere.

So he's a hot head, and always has been. Oh no. A hard tackling, aggressive CM that will occasionally get sent off, how fucking unprecedented. No one's won anything with one of them.
