Germany international Marko Marin's agent claims both Tottenham and Liverpool have had bids rejected for the Werder Bremen ace.

The diminutive 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side this summer following their poor campaign.

Both Spurs and the Reds have apparently already come knocking, but Marin's agent Fali Ramadani has claimed their overtures were quickly rejected by both player and club.

"Marko rejected both teams," Ramadani told Bild. "Werder hinted also that they would not sell Marko at this time."

Marin has admitted his desire to remain in Germany, where his blossoming reputation has already earned him 16 caps for his country, while Werder are understandably keen to keep hold of one of Europe's most promising young wingers.

"I want to stay at Werder. I feel good at Bremen," Marin said.

"I have never had the urge to leave. I want to be successful here, and that is my only aim."

The midfielder, who was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, admits however, that should the club decide to sell him then he would reluctantly leave.

"If the club receives an offer and decides to sell me, that is another situation," he added.

"Until then I am happy here."

Translates to "I want my contract paid up AND get a sign-on fee when I move to England"

He's watched Muller and Ozil make the jump from potential talent to stars and he was left behind. Perhaps he can still turn it around?

Snubbed by fucking Marin.[/quote]

Snub Marin?

Marko Marin, M, Werder Bremen

Price: €15 million

Interested clubs: Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, AS Roma, AC Milan

Marin has endured a difficult season along with most of his teammates at Werder Bremen: the Northerners spent a good part of the year fighting against relegation. Marin, 22, couldn't quite live up to his "German Messi" tag in the process, and he is yet to hold down a regular place in the German national team. The upside, however, is considerable. Out wide, he can be more direct and effective than Mesut Özil, and playing with better players will surely take him to a new level. Bild reported that a €10 million ($14.6M) offer from Liverpool was turned down in May. But that was surely just the beginning of this particular saga. "My agent has told me that Liverpool and Spurs have been in touch, it's very flattering," said the son of Bosnian Serbs who immigrated in 1991. He's got two years left on his contract but missing out on Europe will make Werder more amenable to a sale. For the right price, naturally.
