half time thoughts:
  • Mign - fantastic. Two great saves, and has kept us in it and with the lead. Bravo.
  • Lovren - great game so far ...
  • Henderson - the difference between Soton (A) & today ... Leading by example.
  • Gini - getting more and more into the game.
  • Lallana - Not that involved in the attacking 1/3 but excellent pressing.
  • Origi - learn to fall lad ... Once he beat Rojo, he should have gone down when he was held from behind ...
  • Firmino - really pressing them fantastically, and our goal came from it.
  • Pogba - Running Mign close for MoTM ... How he wasn't carded for the Hendo take down, or whistled for a foul for blocking Can off the ball boggles the mind.
 
Origi's ball hogging is costing us. Klopp needs to have a talk with him. He's inviting more pressure on us.
 
Not playing that well but Ming is having a good game as is Lovren.

Superb penalty from Milner

Pogba worst on the pitch, he really doesn't like being pressured.

I'd bring Coutinho on 2nd half.

Utd forcing us to play long from the back a lot with a really good shape.

Should be at least 1-1 but we'll take it all day long.
 
I'm still fuming about that Lovren booking. Fucking disgrace that was. He'd gone to ground before martial ran over the ball, he hits the ball perfectly as he was trying to do, then martial had got behind it so goes down.

Never a fucking booking. And it could be very costly.
 
Mignolet has been outstanding. Lovren also.

Wijnaldum invisible again, and Origi laughably inept

Be amazing if he we could hang on to this. Even if it is highly unlikely
 
I thought Wijnaldum was alright tbh. He got very little time thanks to the midfield being outnumbered, but did ok regardless.
