Post Match Man United 2-2 - Sunday 5th January

There’s a lot of resentment at Trent over the contract fiasco. He was bad today but let’s be careful not to go over the top on a bad performance today. It was an overall poor performance in miserable weather conditions

It's the effort and positioning though. Everyone was off. He was away at sea.

I think it’s the fact we are basing our expectations off the Utd in previous months vs what showed up. They were up for it and played incredibly well all over the pitch.

A draw was a decent result against them considering how well they played, how poor Trent was and playing in the freezing cold and rain.

Konate lack of fitness (not his fault) cost that second goal. Trent making us super vulnerable. Lucky to get a draw. United are a different team when they play us. Please remember this lads.
That was a very average Utd team. We tore them apart a few times in the 1st half, until TAA started behaving like a Hollywood superstar, and influenced his mate CuJo to try to win the best supporting actor award.

Then donkey came on to earn himself a suspension. I get that footballers arent very intelligent but come on...there's levels you dont go.

I don’t think Trent was that bad - but the hate for him is that strong now it doesn’t matter, nothing he does now is going to result in anything other than more hate.

Can't disagree with that but it's disappointing we weren't able to lift our level like they did.

Is it though? We've been drawing games recently.
As disappointing as today was the weather wasn't coducive towards our usual brand of football. It's unlikely we could win all 38 games but 4 x draws and 1 x loss after 19 is 11 pts dropped of a possible 57 and is better than I envisaged in August.

He was really bad. Other than for a 10 minute spell after Mo's goal, nothing came off for him. Positioning all over the place, jogging back.

It was bad.

Compare against Bradley in the short cameo he had.

Agree with that

Come on ...
1st goal => his fault.
he stopped numerous breaks with poor decisions.
2nd goal => what was he doing?
I have no problem giving him props when he's good etc but today from the first 10 minutes, you could tell he was looking to 'be a hero' ... I'd rank this as his most disappointing performance ever if honest. Just terrible.

Poor first half, moderate second half and became nervous in the last quarter hour. A point gained as we could well have lost.

A wake up call but I wasn't surprised by United they were always going to be fired up after all the criticism.

Move on.

Shite. Pathetic first half performance.

United defended well and did well. We had little answer for it.

Slot didn't act quick enough.

Trent can go. Take the 30m. He's clearly already in Madrid mentally, so bye.
Wait, THEY were going to give US the £30m? Are you sure?

Trent offered nothing going forward, and was actually detrimental in defence

I'm done
