If roy is still in charge(hopefully his announcing resignation today) for sundays match - how many people think they will be hoping that we loose? As a win will only give another stay of execution.

I hope we'll win as i've got some dollar on that we'll win it..

I've never wished us to lose regardless of the situation... If we do lose then I can look on the brighter side but until then I expect a victory.

According to the BBC (not seen it in a thread yet) Kenny is out of the country until after the weekend so won't be available as an interim manager regardless. The lack of a Chief Exec has caused the dithering, but regardless of the scum game Roy will be out soon.

Lets destroy the scum 4-0, and give that to Roy as a parting gift.

I don't buy that because kenny's on holiday as to why roy's still here. we have sammy who could deputise until a caretaker comes in.

I don't think anyone would want us to lose against United, would they?

Most might expect it though.

Did you not hear? He's on a cruise

One of the worst timed Cruise-vacations ever.

Didnt he learn anything from Shanks?

Roy will be in charge. He'll play 4-4-2 and we'll lose. Our midfield will be thorn apart.

Do I want us to win? Hell yeah I always do! But it won't happen with Woy in charge.

If FSG haven't sacked him by now, the result - positive or otherwise - won't make any fucking difference, sadly.

Budgie could take a piss against The Shankly Gates wearing a Man Utd scarf and the dithering mongs would still just fucking sit on their hands. Which, incidentally, is essentially what the old cunt actually IS doing.

So given that fact, I hope we win.

I hope we bend Woy's good mate over and fucking rinse them.

Think we'll lose 2-1 though :-\

I expect to see Liverpool get raped, then Roy and Fergie will share a warm embrace. Fergie will then go on TV and say the Liverpool board and fans should give him more time.

This is going to go one of two ways:

1) The players genuinely are f*cked off, can't be bothered, and go down with a whimper
2) Roy pleads with the players to save his arse, we're playing *United at OT*, its our only chance of a trophy, and they go out and actually somehow notch a replay..

Nostradamus speaks yo..

according to pundits and ex-players a win against man u would give him a life line. There's been no reliable sources which state that roy will be gone anytime soon just mere speculation and conjecture with no real quotes. (i had strong feeling he might annouve his resignation but thats just a feeling).

I've yet to see one influential ex-player denounce roy. Ian rush a true legend in the club is backing him. when you got no clue about football who do you belive fans many of whom are reactionary or Ex-players and professionals?

Is this influential enough? It is for me.

look at the league table.
look how many points we are off the bottom three.
with that in mind why would ANYONE hope we drop three points?

Phil Thompson slams him in this article:

Seeing all these Hodgson apologists in the media, basically pleading for patience because of his passport and that it's all the foreigner managers fault, I wonder how many of them would like Roy in charge of their team once he is sacked?

Fucking none of them - he will be out of work for a considerable amount of time, and probably either retire or take another job abroad (and disappear like he did when he helped take Blackburn down over 10 years ago).

Media fucking hypocrites, they know he is a pariah and a defeatist, but because he's English he should have more of a chance to destroy Liverpool.

First of this is the Cup, not the league. Second of all because they are making the assumption it will lead to Roys departure, they're looking for the long term gain over the short term loss. Obviously it's a big assumption.

I don't hope for losing games by the way, I can just see why some people might.

FA CUP NEIL. FA CUP.

Obviously want us to win. I never want us to lose, especially not to United.

Neil, seriously, sort it out.

ha ha forgot it was a cup game.

LFC tell me Hodgson press conference cancelled due to "ongoing media speculation about manager's position. Club wants focus to be on game"

I hope we beat United and I hope we win the FA Cup and I hope that Roy Hodgson is not our manager when the second thing happens, even if he is when the first happens.

This has been a shit shit season so far, but we still have a chance of winning two trophies. Let's not give up on it just because we hate the man in charge of our team.
