Suarez used a word perfectly acceptable in his home country, his native tongue and a whole fucking continent. Evra made a big deal of it and exaggerated the 'facts'. The FA should have sat Luis down and educated him in the fact that using that word in this country may not be acceptable but they chose to make him a scapegoat in some political battle and he's now vilified as some KKK Grand Wizard by twats like Holt, the rest of the non supporting LFC community and even some of his own. Shake Evra's hand? Fucking do one.

Well said.

On and off the pitch was a complete fuck up. Not playing Carroll, after he'd been the reason we won the last game and them playing with that shite keeper - was just fucking ridiculous. Not changing it at half time was bad enough, waiting for 10 minutes after we'd conceded twice was just plain stupid. We only looked half decent when Adam finally came on with 15 mins to go and he very soon sent a ball into the box that we scored from. De Gea made his fiirst save I can recall in injury time.

Utter utter shite.

Couldn't agree more

Hard to say so but the reality of things is the league table tells it all we are way behind the scum in terms of overall squad quality .We had the 14 players who were the best we have playing only lucas was missing whereas the scum can say they had Nani,Jones, smalling who were missing and berbatov unused also and still they controlled the match and were rarely in danger of not winning.

That, and so so much more. The blame lies at the managers door. Hodgson was in charge of displays as bad as that and he got rightly pilloried.

I could grow to like being a mid table team. It's rare they're disappointed

Someone tweeted a picture of a wall in Manchester where someone had written: welcome you murdering scouse bastards.

Does anyone in the media write about that? Nope.

How anyone can support that shithouse club is beyond me

Swedish paper Aftonbladet covered the game by highlighting the discusting act of Man U fans. Especially the KKK hood stunt from one of their fanzines was put into the limelight. The reporter called Suarez an arsehole at the pitch, but also stated that Evra had shown he was a real arsehole himself.

I think there is a lot of doom-laden exaggerating going on, no doubt to do with the Suarez storm that descended on us in top of the traditional feeling of woe that comes with a loss to the scum. There are also some that have decided KK is utterly useless, in spite of the fact that we have the chance of winning 2 trophies this season, and are not out of the race for a top 4 finish yet. Much as I think some of the players really let Kenny down, his tactics weren't far off in the first half. Scholes chance apart, they had barely a sniff, and we probably had as many half chances as them. Even the pundits commented on the relative strength we had waiting to come on to change the game. The loss of the goals in the beginning of the 2nd half obviously sent us into meltdown, and with Spearing shattered, and SG spraying the ball like a mad woman's piss, we had absolutely no foothold in the game. Yes, KK should have changed it earlier, and Adam should have been the first of his subs to try and get a bit of possession. The fact remains that we were pressing for an equaliser at the end of the game, and still might have got something on the day. We've had more humbling games against the scum than that. Yes we were negative, but I don't think the tactics were stupid. The execution of the plan by the players wasn't all that it should have been. Yes KK bears criticising too, but a lot of this OTT and disrespectful.

I knew it wasn't going to be our day early on. Ferdinand got wiped out by Evra, the ball came out to Gerrard who had to play a simple pass ahead of Kuyt who was in acres to square for Suarez to score and Stevie fucked it up. I don't know if the ref had blown or the lino had his flag up or whatever cos i was in a pub full of people laughing at the two mancs crumpled in a heap? But that careless pass irritated me straight away. When are we going to become more clinical?

Its worrying when your ending the match with your strongest team on the pitch than when you start it. Start your strongest team then make changes. Carrick, Scholes and Giggs bossed the middle of the pitch for 70 minutes, we couldn't get near them.

Will be interesting to see if Kenny goes 442 from now on. Carrol needs to be given a run of games with Saurez to see if they can form some sort of partnership.

While I see your point, and I agree with you, I understand what KK was trying to do. United are very good in utilizing thei rwide players, and Downing and Kuyt should in theory been efficient in stopping that. Where Downing went hiding I can't tell, I just didn't see much of him. Kuyt, well he has had both better and worse days.

if we had got that Gerrard pass to Luis, or Johnson had curled it into the corner, we might have got the result we were looking for. But on the day it was more the players letting the team down, than the formation costing us.

Yeah it was fucking slack in the extreme by Gerrard. We had a potential 3 on 1 if i remember correctly, think Kuyt was wide on the right, Suarez through the middle and Henderson was quite advanced too.

Disappointing and who knows how the game would've panned out if we got an early goal.

We were mainly shit throughout the 90 minutes though.

Explain why you think it's "disrespectful" if you don't mind.

Gerrard will be a year older next year and Suarez will be gone. I don't think there's a fucking pup's chance he'll be here next year.

Who, Dalglish?

Some guy from Sky Sports was interviewed for an Aussie football show today.

They asked him if the media in anyway made the game more hostile than it should have been.

He said that when he was commentating the game the director was in his ear telling him to keep mentioning the Suarez/Evra incident throughout the game.

Furthermore he said that every time Suarez was involved in an incident, the orders were to get the camera on Evra for a reaction shot.

Crazy.

I watched the match on Sky and it was perfectly obvious from the coverage that they were treating the Evra/Suarez issue as the focus of their "entertainment" offering. I don't think you need to be the Archbishop of Canterbury to work out that it is morally wrong to hype up a matter of alleged racial abuse as a means of gaining TV viewer ratings.
