1. Mane – yeah, he almost got sent off, but he was truly the man of the match in the sense that everything, good and bad, mostly revolved around him. Klopp's latest tactical idea of playing Mane through the middle is bearing fruit in literally bringing him from the periphery into the thick of the action and is gradually restoring his magnificent form of last year when rival fans dubbed him "black Suarez." You could say this was a Suarez-esque performance: quality, energy and a bit of madness.
2. Robertson – you can see he's been thinking a lot about how to make his crosses more effective and his last 2 games produced 2 assists, which is exactly half of his entire season's haul so far. Probably the fastest-improving player in the league; it's amazing what great attitude and confidence can do.
3. Milner – quality assist for Mane's goal and on a night when many were below par, he held his usual standard.

Honorable mention to Karius for a string of good saves and keeping his head despite the mistake for the penalty.
