I dont know where Morse is, hopefully pissed up and dancing somewhere.
Heres my three.

Coutinho
Gerrard
Sterling

And Skrtel is very unlucky to miss out thanks to the fucking muck around him. He is however getting closer and closer to my player of the season every single week.

1. Gerrard: Plain and simple, if he hadn't held the whole team together for ten minutes or so after we lost the lead, it would have been over. A towering performance.
2. Coutinho: he actually drove me a bit mad early on when he sliced those shots wide and mistimed a couple of passes, but he went on to make a real difference and thank god he hit that ball early for the goal.
3. Skrtel: the odd dodgy decision but generally he was magnificent.

I don't remember anything from the game... think I have a concussion from the mad celebration....worried if my neighbors called the police now...

How can Gerrard not be in there mate? He was incredible. A force of pure will.
And that block on Dzeko alone was world class.
Then he CRIED JON FOX HE CRIED!!!
Cos Coutinho & Sterling ran the show that first half. Skrtel was practically on his own at times as Sakho was dragged out of position yet kept them out time & again.

Gerrard was fantastic the last ten but at times was relatively average by his standards.

Very hard to pick three from today.

Gerrard saved us many times during the first half with crucial interceptions and blocks.
I thought he was absolutely terrific.

Coutinho
Sterling
Gerrard

I'd have Skrtel somewhere in there too, but wouldn't know who to drop from the list. Sterling was immense in the first half; had less of the ball in the second because we were in trouble, but every time we managed to break forward, it seemed like we would be less likely to lose the ball if it ended up with him. In that way, he did his part taking pressure off the team at the back.

Gerrard
Coutinho
Skrtel (if the ref had seen that hand ball then I would have put him a bit further down my ratings)

Coutinho - not just for the goal, but he was just really on it today. He snapped at their heals like a little terrier throughout and had a huge impact on the game.
Gerrard - What can you say?
Sterling - Ran the show in the first half.

Gerrard
Coutinho
Sterling

I can't imagine for a second why some people consider Skirts MoM (despite his excellent goal and generally very good play). 2 or 3 times he dived in and got completely skinned leading to desperate defending and he was also a very very lucky boy to get away with their disallowed 'goal' after his simply awful attempt to shepherd it back to Ming. Had that been allowed people on here would have had his guts for garters.

Martin
Sterling
Gerrard

Coutinho was strolling for that period of city dominance. He was part of the problem. Great game, but he can't be letting teams glide thru. Otherwise, he'd be my mom

Sterling
Coutinho
Skrtel

Sterling put in his most mature performance to date by a country mile. He was untouchable for 45 minutes today, in the same way silva was for 30 minutes in the second half

Oh and his goal?! Fuck me. what composure that was. Sterling 6 months ago would've shanked that into row z
