Would have been a nervy, awful experience with no issue whatsoever, if karius remembered he could kick it, and van dijk remembered he could kick it harder.

Wijnaldum hasn't got near anyone yet, he's chasing shadows and defensively Chamberlain hasn't been any better. All the midfielders have been woeful when it comes to finding the front three though. On a fucking knife edge this one.

But until we equalise we need to be risk-aversive - pass accurately or else boot the ball as deep into their half as possible. Don't let a teammate be picked off by passing to them too tightly in our half. That start by VVD was just mindless.
Of course, the ref could just destroy this game by about 70 minutes the way he's dishing out cards.

Unfortunately, the goal we conceded set the tone of the match. You know what this team is like - they can struggle to cope with setbacks. It was a high pressure game anyways and to go down in the first couple mins, it just fucks with you.
After that, one way traffic and it's hard to emphasize enough how lucky we are that it's only 1-0.
That said, it already looks like there are a lot of tired legs out there and half the team are on a yellow. I really don't want to watch the second half because it could well get ugly.

I think the tactical switch from Klopp at around 30 minutes mark basically worked – Salah, despite being small, is our best player at holding up the ball and Firmino does a good job to find him even from the wing in the few limited counter-attack opportunities we've had.
We still have a problem in the center of midfield though; Gini is struggling to put in mildly and we are defending way too deep. Had it not been for Robbo's calm defending, we would have been 3 goals down already. I think Klopp needs to switch to 2 in midfield with Milner alongside Gini and both holding position no matter what and Ox in front and around them putting pressure.
