Man City clear-out

I like Zabaletta. Decent player and would provide excellent cover for Johnson. Doubt he would be happy to sit on the bench though. Suprised he is up for 'sale'.

Id take Nedum or Richards on the cheap as back up RB.
Id take Bellamy at 4m no doubt.

Thats it.

Santa for peanuts, and I am with you. Maybe Zabaletta too, I am sure he can play LB if required.

bellemy and robinho definately, bridge at a push as we have NO ONE or left back and ireland who is better than lucas. yeah yeah I know that isn't a requirement for central midfield but right now I'll take it.

Realistically, these could be available at cut down prices.

Preferences in order:

1. Robinho
2. Ireland
3. Bridge
4. Cruz
5. SWP
6. Richards

If we are talking about squad depth I'd take all of them !

Any chance of getting Johnson now that they've signed Silva?

THere's not many others I'd take (of who they'd let go).
Robinho maybe, only loan though, as if he starts sulking again then it won't be too much of a loss for us.

Second team is Tevez?

Can we get him for 10 mil?
Yes. We should sign him for 10M.
They won't sell Tevez
Even in the unlikely event they did it would be for more than £10M
We don't have £10M and we certainly can't afford his wages

He was joking. Quite obviously.

De Jong or Kompany would make excellent replacements for Masher. De Jong is a like for like replacement. Kompany can play more roles, but is an excellent DM.

Would prefer either of those to Poulsen.

Kompany is a bit shite if you ask me. Error prone, and not quite good enough either as a midfielder or as a centre back.

Lescott must be feeling a right cunt though. Pushed so hard for this move last year, and now looks like he'll be surplus to recuirements.

Still, the bank account has improved though..

I would take Lescott as a left back if the price was reasonable and could provide cover in the middle. He was awful last season, but prior to that he had a habit of scoring crucial goals and was excellent attacking on the left.

From what I have seen of Kompany he is a great player, but a bit too dirty so that he gives away a lot of free kicks.

Why won't he be playing as a CB?

It's all well and good City wanting a clear out but they'll have a job on their hands trying to find any clubs who will take players with over-inflated wages...

They'll end up having to pay half the wages of most the people they mov on. When Paul Beasley ended up at Port Vale most of his wages were still getting paid by City even though he'd ended up at PV via Leeds.

Yep, seems like they're a bit of a bottomless pit nowadays. Wonder how much they've wastedspent to date since the new owners came in ?

Danny Mills was another one they ended up paying for long long after he went.

Lescott is apperantly one of the players that could leave, if rumours are to be belived.
Boateng and Toure might be the starting CBs. Kompany/Richards/Onuha.

Every good team should have 6 centre backs in their first team squad....
