OK. We haven't won a trophy since 2006. But we've had moments, sometimes goals, sometimes games, sometimes just a collective pride in our club. What are the moments that have give you joy since 2006? First one for me. When Dalglish took over Roy was a jubilant moment. OK, he wasn't going to lead us to the promised land, but, he did bring us out of darkness.

I hate any 'highlights' in a cup run that didn't result in winning the competition

So you hate pretty much every game we play in then, because that's essentially about 99% of our games really. How many games have we played since 2012? Well done on another typically stupid post.

That's a bit harsh Mark.
I am sure we all have watched reruns of the game and the whole 2005 champions league campaign but I doubt anybody has bothered with the 2007 dvd.

since 2006 . Shit, torres, Suarez and Gerrard have given me too many individual moments to list.

As a team, that Dortmund turn around was hella special.

I think the spurs demolition under Rodgers x2 and dismantling utd when Suarez went on that mazy run for kuyt to steal to his goal for the hat trick was ace too.

Yeah, totally disinterested in rewatching or remembering any cup games which didn't end up with us winning a trophy. There have been scores of memorable individual displays and wins, but they only exist in that moment really and I've no interest in rewatching them.

Beating Everton, United and to a lesser extent extent Chelsea is always great, and there are some games that stand out due to the quality of the performance (Spurs away under Rodgers, Dortmund, Arsenal spanking, Fulham, Norwich etc) but they're not really special because they didn't amount to anything.

It only matters if you win something

If we're only gonna remember magical moments from recent years that ended with a trophy, this will be the shortest thread ever.

The beauty of football is that these magical moments can be from any game and any competition, regardless of winning a trophy.

I wouldnt watch the entire match obviously, but highlights? Yes please.

Each to their own I guess.

Gerrard's goal against Middlesbrough is probably his best, and it will always be remembered at the very least as one of his best, I don't think it resulted in anything significant all the same, but it's there.

I disagree. It keeps you going. Nights like Dortmund remind us where we should be and what we aspire to be in the future. Similarly watching a world class player like Suarez destroy opponents and provide moments of unbelievable quality.

Yes, moments. I acknowledged that.

Also Probably torres' first goal for us when he absolutely mugged off ben haim or whoever it was and slots past cech before sliding across the turf on his knees in celebration

It was the start of a what 2 year period where he was unplayable.

I know hes a pariah and whatever but he was so fucking good when gerrard played behind him

Torres and Suarez pretty much back to back, weve been spoilt really.. were now in this horrible origi hangover stage but on an individual level it is almost worth the suffering.

In fact going on the Owen leaving - 2 years of shit - torres - two years of being crocked and now two years of post suarez benteke/balo/origi/brokenstudge we should be due a worldie this summer.

Be patient. Dolberg's coming.

The Arsenal game where we were 4-0 up after twenty minutes and the scoreline flattered the Gooners
Toure missing the open net after Suarez hit the bar from a stupid shot. That game was insane

Im with Bren and Pat. I dont care about any event that isnt precursor to a trophy.

I dont even remember the games that got us to a final we lost.

That Dortmund game was amazing but I don't give a shit. Even if we'd won in the final I doubt i'd've cared that much. It's the shitty europa league.

That first 20 minutes against Arsenal in the demolition. I was gasping for breath watching us play sitting on the couch.
