Robbie
129 goals
Could have been at least 10 more if he wasn't injured during the 97/98 season
That's how good he was.
Ha,ha...sorry. Allah scored 129 goals.Shouldn't call God by his first name mate ... In Pakistan, they'd put you down for that kind of blasphemy.
Me too. Anyone could see it.I said years ago I would target Lukaku above any other striker going. He is simply outstanding.

Any other striker? Anywhere? Right
How come we got Benteke and not Lukaku? Strange.

Good point... Lukaku has been at Everton for 2 seasons; Benteke is in his first season with us, we've had a change of managers, and been through our worst injury spell. Any comparison of the two players' relative strengths should really wait until end of next season. Not likely to happen though , as Benteke will still be 2nd or 3rd choice striker.I wonder how Benteke would be doing if he got the game time and service that Lukaku gets.

Rumours that Real Madrid are plotting a 60m bid for Lukaku this summer.
I'm not sure there'd be that much difference TBH. Benteke's better in the air but Lukaku's quicker and more mobile, hence better suited to capitalise on such service, besides which Benteke's always been prone to lapses of form. I also suspect Lukaku has more between his ears than Benteke, so is both more willing and more able to make changes in his own game to improve the situation.
Great, we can buy him for half of that in one or two seasons then, after they decide he's not enough of a handsome Galactico with worldwide marketing appeal.
