Luiz-y does it

I went on a quick trawl to see how upset Villa fans were at the prospect of losing him. They aren’t that happy about it but they mostly hate Gerrard and can’t wait to see him go, that’s by far their primary focus.

so you’re saying we won’t need a new bed in the treatment room, fantastic

We made an opening bid of £20m according to reports this morning.

Villa want £30m

Expect we'll try and hammer out something, but could be gazumped by another club.

When Luiz is good.. he's very good. Was on the books at City.

And he's a proper back up for Fabinho.

He's a bit of a fancy version of Fabinho.

Has talent to play for a top side, but I'd be wary of his mentality*.

* and I'm purely judging this based off his Tik Toks. Very much like AOC. "A character".

Haven’t heard anything from @moron yet, this lad float your boat?

Sorry - fell asleep after last nights game, it took too much out of me - I am not a mentality monster.

With regards to your question - in simple terms - No, and I don't want anyone from that Villa team especially after their complete fuck up last season in that final game. They demonstrated a zero mentality, rather we got Sander Berge.

If they end up signing him, then you’d think Luiz will leave given he has 1 year left on his contract.

Can't say I've ever noticed his performances, apart from him being a prick.

I was a bit aloof about this last night given he's hardly starting at Villa who's manager is the greatest CM to grace the game.

However - having watched a few clips I am more convinced that he is more of a Klopp style signing than many other names mentioned. He isn't huge on output (and most of his assists, plus some goals, are from corners which he may not get a chance to take for us) but he looks to cover a lot of ground, be very strong on & off the ball, combative etc. He might just be the legs we need in the middle that helps this system work.

Having seen our corners last night, I've decided a corner taker should be our no1 priority.

Guess we shouldn't have gone for Robbo either then.
