Today he was trying to get Luis involved in the play as much as he can. I really think Gerrard deserves a lot of credit for Torres's success as a player. Let's face it, Torres has only ever played that well and looked that good for Liverpool, with Gerrard feeding him. His performance in Spain and for Spain makes him a 20m player, but i wouldn't be calling him the best striker in the world based on that.
I also remember how desperate he was for Crouch to get on the score sheet (even gave him a go with a penalty, which Crouch duly missed).
Stevie often goes out of his way to get the new boys playing. I like that about our Captain.

I agree totally. Gerrard works hard to make others look good.
I really am thinking that suddenly in Gerrard, Suarez, Carroll, Meireles weve got goal threat from 4 positions instead of 2 a few weeks ago.
If we could get cole firing and the usual 10 a season from Deadly suddenly were hard to contain all over the park.

I love how he ran into space, worked the combinations, dropped the shoulder, can go both left and right not to mention passed and move.
All that without even training and his first game since December.
That's a very encouraging start to say the least. He also said that Carroll's style will compliment his after having watched him this season so I can't wait for the hook up. We are gonna scare the shite of a few teams.
