Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Sky Italia reported that Lewandowski refused to join Real Madrid despite BVB agreeing for a €30m bid.

I don't think anybody turns down Madrid. He has an agreement with Bayern already so that's probably the sticking point. But Madrid can pay off Bayern to break the agreement or something like that.

I think Borussia is smart not to refuse to sell to Bayern. You can't keep strengthening your biggest rival like that.

Dont see how its a sticking point seeing as how he can't have an agreement with Bayern legally without asking Dortmund permission to speak to him. Seeing as how they are blatantly saying no he can do what he likes. I think he just has his heart set on Bayern and guardiola. Plus knowing that he'll definitely get more regular starts with bayern than real madrid in world cup year is most probably also an issue.

How could he have an agreement with Bayern if they are yet to approach Dortmund to agree a transfer.

Surely that would constitute the most blatant tapping up.

And out of those matches, we won 3 of the 4 that Suarez was suspended for, including a 6-0 thrashing away to the barcodes. The other one, we drew with Everton.

Which just goes to show that all these "if it was based on the second half of the season" stats are completely fucking retarded.
19 games versus 4 is very different plus added Coutinho and Sturridge made a world of difference.

You're wrong anyway Dreamy.

We were the 6th best team over the last 19 games.

I'm not sure about that. He hasn't said anything bad about LFC.
I'll be very happy if he stays
Whirly and Jimmy - While Suarez may not have said anything against Liverpool and its fans (he has no reason to after we backed him to the hilt), all this talk of Real while contracted to us is disrespectful. He is openly stoking the fires and trying to engineer a move. Suarez is key to any top 4 hopes that we have and I for one will be happy if he stays because it will ensure that we compete at the very least. Time for him to shut up and get on with it.

Really? Ok then I stand corrected, I was sure I saw a table that had us 3rd at 1 point post xmas.

It's one of those tables which looks at selective results to give a better outcome.

Like, if you said the last 10 games - then we had the 3rd best record.

Which kind of proves Ryan's point about judging the whole season and not little bits just to suit whatever point you're trying to make.

The best you could probably say is that we got better as the season progressed, which is the opposite trend to what happened the previous season.

Isnt that the kind of progress we were looking for?
We've been 4th or thereabouts since November which shows improvement given the starting point we had before the season.

Well, it's why we're optimistic about next season, because we finished on a (relative) high. You have to remember though that over the course of the season there are different levels of pressure and expectation. In the first half we were expected to make a go of it, but we were dire, we dropped out the league cup and eventually the Europa and then the FA Cup, so that left us with one thing to go for (a show of consistency in the league). Then there was Luis' ban which served as a reason for the rest of the side to make a go of it. There's so many variables, but ultimately yeah, I think it's fair to say we could see the improvement over the course of the season on the pitch, I just wouldn't put too much emphasis on the "if the league started in January" thing, because it doesn't.

Was it not a case of comparing pre and post Coutinho and Sturridge?

Statistically LFCs record in major cup finals when 3-0 down at half time is at least as good as and, on average, far superior to all other half time scenarios.

Therefore every time we are in a final we should gift the opposition 3 goals in the first 45 minutes to maximise our chances of lifting silverware.

As if LFC are still running Windows 95.
Hi.
Can someone explain this to me please? I am a massive luddite so have probably fucked up in my head right, but lets say:
YOU are Ian Ayre and using a top bollocks iMac air on the latest version of safari.
And you send me (the whistleblower) a mail and *I* take a screengrab of MY shitty outlook 07.
Would it not simply reflect that the person who is viewing the mail (me) is using some outdated o.s?

Please explain geeks.

It would - plus a lot of companies take ages to upgrade their systems so it's not inconceivable (is it bad that word always makes me think of Princess Bride?). I just figured it'd been outed as fake for other reasons.

"Cavani's intention is to play for Madrid," Luis Cavani told Futboleros, part of Marca TV in Spain. "He is excited about it and is very willing to see it through. He has told the family in private that he wants to join Real Madrid but if he declares it publicly it will annoy Napoli."

He added that representatives from Madrid had already held talks with the player. "There has been contact with Real Madrid's lawyers and now we are waiting for the two clubs to meet," he said. "I hope it happens and that talks take place as soon as possible. Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid?"

So are Real planning to team up Suarez and Cavani?

Or are we stuck with Luis?

Well.... It might have been, but since that wasn't the way Dreamy went, then no.

Incidentally - end of transfer window onwards still doesn't put us top 4. The more you narrow the data to the back end of the season the better the result gets.

I'm not sure what reason anyone wants to attribute to an improved 2nd half of the season - coutinho & Sturridge, familiarism with Rodgers system, better performances from Downing & Henderson, luck, Lucas, Allen injured, lack of cup games, Carraghers return, easier fixtures....

Probably a wee bit of all.

Having read the interviews he has given since being away I'm thinking I'd prefer if he never wore the shirt again. Amazingly talented player but if he wants out, let em leave.

Oncy is correct. Defo an over sight on my part anyway.

Oh and @keniget, no, coz, Princess Bride is awesome. I loved it when Cary Elwes turned up in the Saw movie.
