Liverpool will push ahead with a summer deal for Udinese forward Luis Muriel after he reportedly set his sights on a move to the Premier League.
The Reds have already confirmed that they plan to be busy at the end of the season, with Brendan Rodgers keen to bring in more top class talent.
And while the forward line has been a strong point this term, a versatile frontman to supplement and compliment Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez is on the cards, with Muriel a key target.
According to reports in Italy, the 22-year-old has told Udinese he wants to move to England at the end of the season – and Liverpool are now weighing up a £17million bid.

Rodgers has received glowing scout reports on his progress this term, with the Colombian continuing to score goals for fun.
A pacy, skilful and agile attacker, Muriel can play as a striker or on the wing, as well in the classic number 10 role behind a lone forward.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona are also keen admirers of the player.

Still, a wonderfully gifted player with pace and finishing ability but injuries and how unfit he seem to look is a concern.

I love the idea of Muriel but he's hardly having a breakout season to justify a 17M price tag. That coupled with fitness and attitude concerns should push the price right down.
