London 2012 Olympics

British favourite delivers the goods! Brilliant from Wiggins. Didn't even look like he was pushing it.

He was down by 5 seconds in the first section, did I hear them say that by the second section he was up 11 seconds?

I'm not a fan of watching cycling so I wouldn't know, but I thought these sort of things would be tight, like a second or 2 between gold and bronze.

Wiggins smashed the field in le tour, martin didn't compete though.

Wiggins (I'm not going to join the idiots calling him wiggo) lost to Martin by over a minute ago at the world championships, so it shows how much he's improved.

What struck me was after he'd finished Martin was lying on the ground, completely spent, trying to recover. Wiggins was just off his bike and sip of water; his only discomfort was caused by not knowing he'd definitely won. His fitness must be extraordinary.

I bet all you cunts are going to grow sidey's and buy bikes now.

It would be great if people started riding bikes after seeing what British riders have done this year, this is when governments should do more to encourage our kids (and adults) to get out more and ride. Now that would be a great legacy.

I'll say one thing for the olympics , is a massive collection of strange looking bodies . I mean if these lads weren't cyclists you'd swear they were smackheads . Wiggins' legs look like they could snap at any moment .

And so many of the birds are just plain freaky looking , with the gymnasts and swimmers top of that queue .

Drugs? *tap nose*

If you look at his history, he's always been outstanding, he's more widely known now.

This isn't sudden success, he's built upto this. Joe public just hasn't seen it

I also think Froome needs more recognition, he beat some strong competition to get bronze.

He'll be a future TDF winner, probably within 3 years

hate to say it but we are choking under the pressure, there is a chance we will win nothing

We came 4th in the medal table last time, I predict not even in top ten this time

I did wonder if Hoy at 36 would still have what it takes. Those beasty legs clearly have a few laps in them yet.

Also nice to see we medalled in shite you wouldn't normally watch like shooting and kayaking. That's more like it GB.
