Cheers, the purpose of doing these is to give Liverpool fans a bit of colour about the opposition - what their form is, if they are good at home or away (depending on where we play them) and if there is anything distinctive about their style of play. Its not meant to be an all-inclusive definitive analysis. However, I used to get tired of seeing the phrase "Lets batter these" when it became apparent that posters didnt really have an idea of the oppositions form etc on which to make an informed prediction.

I suppose he's probably on the bench taking Sterling's spot. Having said that, I thought it was odd last week that we had both Skrtel and Coates on the bench against Villa. If we'd lost one of our fullbacks during the game, we'd have had the undesirable option of using either Henderson or Downing as a backfill.

So, it's hard to say. Maybe Rodgers will surprise people and call up Teixeira, Ibe or McLaughlin instead.

I think Suarez tends to do his best work cutting in from the right, even if it is against current received wisdom for a right-sided player. Coutinho is also thus far fairly untested on the right for us. I don't think the decision is as obvious as you imagine.

Carra and Enrique wasnt in the training pictures. Could be Wisdom or Downing in as a full back.
And sadly Skrtel for Carra.

Only good things can come from Downing as a full back. Either he plays well, or else he becomes the last best hope of getting Rodgers fired in the summer.

I can't see him pissing about and putting him at left back again. Enrique is playing ok, Downing has been playing ok (both were a bit below par against Villa, but that's just one game), what's the point? Maybe because we're at home he'll brave it a bit more, reward Hendo with another start and maybe drop Downing, but other than that and barring injury, I reckon we'll see the same side more or less.​
