Ryan, to clarify, I wasn't saying this is a "brilliant" idea, the crux of the point is we have ONE defensive midfielder in the squad, competing for (or rather, walking into) a pretty dysfunctional midfield. We have at least two centre backs who have played there before (three if I'm correct), Agger wasn't my sole suggestion, Sakho and Toure have both played there before. It was merely a "wonder if". Considering any combination of Gerrard/Lucas/Henderson/Allen allows most midfield's to dominate and walk through us. The alternative to this wayward, "mind boggling awful" suggestion is to sit here and do fuck all about it until we can throw away more money.
Mark, o you think any of your 3 suggestions would be a better fit in the defensive midfield role than Lucas?
I'd consider Toure as a DM if the situation was forced upon us. i.e. Carragher playing DM in the past when we were short. If it isn't forced upon on us then I wouldn't really consider it. Lucas, Henderson or Gerrard to play there before we move a CB out IMO.
As Mark said above, the suggestion isn't ridiculous, but I don't think we need to be playing CB's as our DM. I don't think it would be disastrous but it is unnecessary and i'm not sure if it would improve our play.

We should do it only in case of serious emergency IMO. Too many LFC managers have tinkered with players' positions too often over the years.
I'd rather Allen, but i'd be happy with Alberto. Keep Moses on the bench for this one and bring him on later on, as we change to 4-4-2, or play him upfront and give Sturridge a 20minute rest, if we're winning.
I thought Henderson would be better than Allen there, but then I thought he'd be better than Lucas at DM too, so I clearly don't have a clue.

This game vs the baggies will be a tough one. If we win it, it'll be tight I'd have thought, they've had a few good results already against the big teams this season.
