The Diver is back in town trying to con the ref, trying to play on the "I'm the England captain" gig. He'll try the trailling leg con for sure.."just pull your trailling leg against any outstretched leg,then go over"..Son as well isn't above diving if push comes to shuve.

No team is above diving, shouldn't happen but that's the way it is. But we need to pressure them. No matter how well JoMo drills them, they can be got at as Palance showed yesterday.

I'm not optimistic. Kane and Son are in electric form and are exploiting high lines for fun.

We need our best performance since Wolves to beat them. Let's hope we turn it on.

They were in far from electric form against Palace ! Kane had one lucky shot where the keeper sold himself down the river and Son was a non-entity for pretty much the whole game (yes I watched the full 90 mins). Yes Spurs played decent football in the first half but Palace were all over them virtually the whole of the second half (bar a 5-10 min period after Palace scored).

That said we will definitely need to up the performance from Fulham and I'm not sure this tired team has it in them. Gini, Mane & Firmino looked totally fucked. At least TAA got a bit of a rest because he looked knackered too. The issue is the mainstays of this team just haven't had much of a break because of the injuries. Thankfully we have Alisson back. I could even think about starting Ox. in the first half just to give Gini a 50 mins break with Jones dropping back to join Hendo. We can win but if you gave me a draw right now I might think about taking it.

Guaita (error aside) was in spectacular form, and any other day spurs would be going in at half time 3-0 up. Palace were all over them second half, but spurs coped well, and there wasn't really many times lloris was tested.

I'm shitting it about this game, and its primarily because it's mourinho
 
It's Maureen. We can expect that he will come up with the most conservative tactics possible. It will be interesting to see how we counter...

I'm going with the front three getting a goal each and Jones getting one. Not sure where the rest of our goals will come from, probably a second for Salah and one for Trent.
 
They're at a relatively early stage in the learning curve for Maureen's style of play, so if we hit them hard in the first twenty-five minutes and shake them up with a goal or two, I suspect a lot of the tactical cramming in their heads will start to come undone. We also need to be as cynical as them as far as the ref is concerned - don't let them con the ref in the ways that Maureen insists on them doing.
 
If Fabs throws himself around in our box like he did on Sunday (and tends to do in other matches), Kane will win 5 penalties... We need to be very cautious of what he and Son can do against our makeshift CB pairing.

It could be a really rough match. I'm expecting something very similar to what he did against us THAT Sunday morning a few years back... Hopefully we don't fall into the trap he's trying to set. Under the circumstances, a draw wouldn't be a horrible result.

mourinho is trying to piss off klopp and the fan base here. He relishes this.
Hopefully he relishes getting hammered like he did with Man U before he was fired.

We are the only team in the midweek fixtures that will have fans in the stadium.

I wouldn't be surprised if Klopp springs a few surprises though. I can't see him playing Phillips but then he might fancy someone who will just put a boot in where it hurts and try to put Kane off his stride. Who knows if Matip is fit, the rest picks itself really, but Minamino seems to be knocking on the door again for some reason.
 
Maybe we will see Phillips. The problem is we need a real DM and a CB with pace, only WIlliams comes close to that with Gomez and VvD out and I can't see Klopp throwing him into this one. I could see Phillips in there though ... to release Fabinho to do what he does best where Son & Kane will be playing even though we have no-one capable of matching Son's pace.

Phillips has also been ace in the air and he will be up against at the very least Kane and Dier so playing Fabinho or Hendo isn't ideal by a long shot.

I can't see him taking Fabinho out the backline, despite the sound logic about Kane and Son, I just think he will go with strength at the back first and worry about them second.

Problem is klopps an honest manager who doesn't overly rely on gamesmanship. Thats the big worry for me, that we'll get rattled by their shithousery
