The way this season is going a loss isn’t even that big a deal.

Everyone is limping along.

Having said that it would be great heading into the Xmas period top.

With Matip fucked I’d take a point.

So all the sides who played in midweek lost points this weekend. Chelsea lost to Everton, the 2 Manchester clubs played one of the worst high-profile EPL games I’ve ever seen, where in truth neither deserved even a point, Spurs drew 1:1 away at Palace, we drew 1:1 away at Fulham.

Comparing these last 2 games with an eye on Wednesday, Spurs outplayed Palace in the first half, but then let them back into the game and were under the cosh for some periods and eventually couldn’t hold on to the win. We started horribly but improved after half an hour and could have won the game, but overall probably didn’t do enough to deserve the 3 points. Which augurs better for Wednesday’s clash? Starting badly and improving or starting well and running out of steam?

Gonna be a tough game - a Mourinho team that basically plays "park the bus and counter with two of the most in form attackers in the world today" ... I'd consider dropping Bobby and play a 4-3-1-2 with Gini being the '1' and responsible for tracking Kane everywhere.

taa matip fab robbo

hendo gini jones

minamino

Didn't someone sat Matip had back spasms but Klopp said he would be ready for Spurs?

They’re the most pathetic excuse for a title challenging team going, no courage to dominate games and a steady stream of diving, moaning and snidey fouls. Ie. A classic Maureen side.

I want us to fucking humiliate them.

And someone needs to go right through Kane in the last minute.

Replace 'weeks' with 'months', and you'll probably have a more realistic estimate of when you can actually expect to see him play again.

If we have a good first 20 mins then I think we cruise this, but we have been very easily outplayed at the start of a number of games now. Team seemingly picks itself.

------------Alisson-------------
Trent--Matip--Fabs--Robbo
--------Hendo--Gini-----------
-------------Jones--------------
Salah-----Bobby-------Mane

We need this XI to hit the ground running as we are light on replacements. Hojberg has run the show for Spurs, and their LWB looks v good. We need to keep those two quiet to cut out all supply to Son & Kane. Hopefully we don't let Son capitalise on our high line.

Luckily their defence looks ropey when under pressure, we just need to make the most of that.
