Are we on the box today?

No Stu, amazingly. It's always a big game so I can't understand why. Hopefully my local will have it on the foreign.

Our defence is better than theirs, but theirs is more consistent whilst ours is more prone to mistakes

That comment is just ridiculous.

PL Goals conceded this year:

Liverpool - 39
Newcastle - 48

I hate everything to do with Newcastle and their fucktard supporters.

Ha really? No way, everyone I spoke to yesterday was adamant it wasn't on. Soz Stu!

If you're needing me you'll find me in the pub. I have along history of watching us beat Newcastle from the comfort of a hostelry.

Me too, plus it's a great day for it anyway. Just been checking the odds on 4-3, can't see us conceding that many because they're attack is poor though :-\

I'll be watching it on my iphone in the back of a church, with no sound.

No offence to anyone religious (tongue firmly in cheek here) but surely being stuck in a church, with no beer, for an HOUR, whilst Liverpool play, on a glorious day like today, is akin to Hell?!

I feel for yer, I had to go through the same a year or two back when I went to my cousins Communion, practically the whole of the two back rows were getting a running commentary off my phone! I'm sure the Communion went well anyway.

FFF always with the multi-tasking.

Rumoures about the team being the same as against Brum, and with Carroll on the bench

Fair-do's, like Kenny said the match shouldn't be about Carroll v Newcastle.

Jimmy Rice
Team news imminent. Hearing of one surprising inclusion for #lfc. Read about it on .tv in five mins.

Someone has suggested it's Coady

*is wondering how FFF gets ESPN on his phone*

On the sky player? Its on mine anyway.

Glen Johnson returns to Liverpool's starting XI for their lunchtime kick-off with Newcastle - listen live online from 11.55pm BST.

Andy Carroll has not been deemed fit enough to start against his former club, but he is on the bench.

That means the Reds team is: Reina, Johnson, Flanagan, Carragher, Skrtel, Lucas, Spearing, Maxi, Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Kyrgiakos, Robinson, Shelvey, Cole, Ngog, Carroll.

I'd have preferred to have had Johnson on the right and Robinson on the left (don't quite rate Flanagan as much as some, yet), but that's a good team nonetheless.
Not a big fan of Maxi, but I love the message Dalglish is sending to his squad. Play well and you play in the following game. Something we didn't have under Rafa, and something that most likely confused a lot of the players over the last several years.
