Any word on whether Carroll is fit? It'd be nice to watch him smash a header in but i'm presuming he is out. If he was close to playing wouldn't he back in Liverpool working alone on his fitness that Wednesday instead of being in Spain. Pity for him as i'm sure he'd relish the chance to play against his home town club.

I can see Suarez runing riot on Sunday and adding more goals to his account. MIght have to make him my captain on my fantasy football team. Ha!

Another opportunity for our new full backs to gain more precious minutes?. Hope Jackie Robinson isn't intimidated by 'hard man' Joey Barton.

Same could be said about Meireles, Johnson and Reina but it was their day off. If it heals it heals. Like Kenny said: "Nature doesn't know that it's Newcastle on Sunday".
 
I think in a way we might be better off without Carroll for this one. If he plays, it'll be all about him, the NUFC fans will abuse him, all the pressure will be on his shoulders, and our players will look for him all the time. If he doesn't play we'll just kill them with our passing and movement the way we killed Birmingham.

Same team again IMO.

It's a home game, how much abuse is he really gonna get?
The Anfield crowd will probably quiet them down.
 
Why would carroll get abuse? He said he was forced out the toon for the money and was quite dignified to their fans.

Newcastle disagreed with that statement and not all their fans believe Carrolls version of events.
 
A Newcastle fan told me (before we signed him) that he was going to be sold in the summer regardless, albeit he didn't want to be.

He said it as if it was common knowledge amongst their fans.

Ashley / Pardew have been on the defensive and released a number of statements that contradict that belief. For some reason, some of the Newcastle fans have chosen to believe Ashley.

Although a 12pm kickoff is beautiful for most of Asia since it'll be abbout 8pm or so
