Liverpool VS Man City Match Thread

That game just summed us up as a team. I really hope Van Dijk can at least reduce two from those three goals conceded.
Great going forward, terrible at the back.
The last one doesn't go in with VVD, simply because he's a little taller and the ball doesn't go over him.

Brilliant win, but again marred by shit defending/keeping. We seriously might as well not even have a goalie between the sticks. We should just put another midfielder on and take our chances. How many on target shots do our keepers actually save? Karius just stands there like a fucking dope.

So much to be pleased with, and almost as much to be very angry about.

I think quite a few people thought we could beat City today, and while this is 'only three points' we owed them for that 5-0 thrashing and it's great to stick one in fucking Giardiola's eye, too.

Fuck off back to your cash-filled sandpit

They will definitely be our new 'Chelsea'. This will be a rivalry to rival that imo.

So, Robertson has finally acclimatised and what a player! At this rate, he'll take some shifting from Liverpool's first team and must be odds on to take the the leftback berth from Tierney for Scotland.

Wow.

The best 90 minutes of football ive seen in a while

Also confirming the need for karius to fuck off and vvd to start hence forth

Also, that front trio 👍:graham:👍:graham:👍:graham:👍:graham:👍:graham:👍:graham:👍:graham:👍

Beautiful finishes, but almost every chance was down to really poor City mistakes, sloppy passes and silly decisions.

We deserved to win, but they contributed hugely

Good result, deserved with some great goals. As much as Karius did himself no favours, I think the big problem back there was Gomez. Every goal he had fault on, and his positioning was worse than Moreno's at times. If Clyne is done then a RB should be as big a priority as any position this summer.

Did you see how aggressive our pressing was? There's a reason they made a shit load of errors, and it was headed by your favorite player.

It was a fucking pleasure to be there today. Best atmosphere I’ve seen at anfield since the Chelsea semi in 07.

Fucking boss. Just fucking boss.

Struggling to pick a man of the match, Robertson, Ox, Can, Wijnaldum, Firmino. Dunno. Can’t pick.

Get in there fucking red men!

Ya it's a shame at 4-1 we didn't kick on to humiliate them but I'll take it all day long.

We forced them to though, we force every team to make mistakes with pace, pressure & creativity.

They don't those mistakes regularly. The fact we're the first team to beat them proves that.
