That game was crying out for Suarez..

Coutinho looks the part.. Just tired out as the game wore on.. Show some great touches..

Gerrard played well..

Studge look average... should of done better with the opportunities presented to him imho..

Nothing much else I can say..

We got lucky with their goal.

We lacked finesse, precision and composure in the final third.

Everton are just a fancy Bolton.

Gerrard was the best player on the pitch by miles.

If we were bitter cunts, we'd compile a dossier of Fellaini's elbows into a DVD and send it to the presses and FA for them to review. And also tell the shite ref who missed all of them but yet spotted a phantom foul for their disallowed goal (thank goodness) to put it in the report that he saw none of the Fellaini assaults on Agger, Skrtel and Gerrard.

Sturridge's attitude wasn't the best today.
His greed in the first half today was brain dead.

He should of made more of that class pass from Coutinho..

Pinpoint pass... Crying out to be scored from.. I that was Suarez.. Goallll.. Every day of the week..

Some with disagree with you and say something about conversion rate even though Luis has scored 30 goals this season.

It needed to be hit first time before the keeper set himself, although in fairness Howard reacted extremely well after Sturridge took a touch.

Good to see we were much more prolific without Luis.

We have our fair share of 0-0 draws with him in the team too, but yeah we were a bit lightweight up top today.

I dont think Surridge is good enough to play upfront on his own against defences as organised as Evertons. We instantly looked more dangerous when Borini came on to take some of the attention away from Sturridge

Great controlled performance in the middle of the park from Gerrard, he was excellent, its a shame none of the other midfielders bothered to help him out

I like sturridge , i always have this feeling that he can get a goal or at least some semi decent chances . But he still wrecks the head with his decision making and his "lazy" style . He needs to stop arsing about at times and do the basic thing. Like when coutinho played him in , did he need a touch ? Same in the first half from henderson's touch , did he need to try and get it on his left , could he not have swung at it with his right ? . But anyway , i'm not so sure if he'll be able to change these things , i have a feeling we'll just have to accept this is how he plays .

Sturridge wasn't great today but I will forgive him a little inconsistency this season. Next season will be different as he will need to step up a gear.
Coutinho was very good despite being closely monitored, often by the thug Felaini. He can expect more of the same next season unless we get in more of his quality during the summer.
Downing is still just average and needs to be replaced during the summer. Jimmy Rodriguez please.
Lucas was very poor. Allen should have a chance of displacing him unless he rediscoveres his form of early last season.
Hendo continued to slowly improve and is a valuable squad member now

Distin and Jackielka we're top drawer for Everton.

Thought Sturridge was decent today tbh. He was left alone upfront and ran all day.
Should have done better with his chances and been less greedy.

Gerrard was excellent. Enrique was poor.

The Derby never got going and Everton came for a draw. Long balls galore.
Shame we couldnt capitalize.

Anyone slagged Johnson yet? Because I'm going to. He was fucking shit.

Johnson was rubbish... again. We should just go with Wisdom or McLaughlin for the two remaining games and let Johnson add two more weeks to the two-month vacation he's been having.

He was shitter than Lucas. At least Lucas was putting in a shift, though not a good one. Johnson just lazed around doing little tippy taps against two defenders, bouncing balls off his feet to touch, and just all around gash. I think he had one great cross in the second half and that's about it.

Fucking wank.

Is that allen's position ? When he played there while lucas was injured he was gash and everyone excused him as they said he needed to play further forward.

Everton were horrible, but we didn't really deserve to beat them. Coutinho and Gerrard both had great games.

No not exactly Allen's position but I am imagining a slightly different formation.
To be fair to Allen. he was playing with an injury for a good part of the season. He was excellent for the first couple of months though I an not sure what position he was playing

We were set up badly. That many Hollywood balls and bad attempts at counters can't have been a coincidence.

We lack composure and are poor when put under pressure. Sturridge was awful and Coutinho was effectively taken out of the game by our own midfield / defence who were intent on launching it.

We've had too many bad days at the office this season and this team only seems capable of playing when the other is not. Dissappointing.

On a positive note, the ref was brilliant today. I've said it before but Oliver is an excellent ref and still only 28 years old.

I like the fact that unlike 80% of his fellow refs he doesnt think the the game should be about him.

Fellainis elbows were the only problem imho

Well, he disallowed a legitimate goal and then booked one for protesting it.

And allowed Gerrard off with nothing when his foot was raised and caught someones head.

The Ref was good for us, but it wasn't exactly good reffing when he the most important call of the match completely wrong.

Distin pushed Carra out of the way just as the corner was hit and climbed all over him when he headed the ball. Anichebe was blocking Reina aswell. Seemed a right desicion to me. Protesting a refs call can usually result in a booking?

Gerrards wasnt a yellow either.

Carra was protesting every decision and didn't get booked

He screwed up on all the major calls - missed all 3 of Fellaini's elbows (might be more but I remember distinctly one each on Agger, Gerrard and Skrtel), at least 2 of which were on/near the ball (the Gerrard and Agger ones). He missed the WWF headlock Fellaini had on Agger prior to the elbow. I don't even remember him having a word with Fellaini. And then called a phantom foul on a proper goal (okay that worked for us).

Blowing 5 calls like that is very poor. 2 of those elbows should've seen them playing with 10 men. The last elbow should've seen them playing with 10 men to end the game.

Shit refereeing in my opinion.

Carra was protesting every decision and didn't get booked

So did loads of other players aswell. As long as you dont know what Carra and Anichebe said its a bit difficult to discuss it. Anichebe could have used some extremely bad language and got booked for it.
Or squaring up to the ref for that matter.

Bar the elbows from Screetch I thought the ref was excellent.

All in my opinion obvs

Ref was good, let the game flow.

Some cryin twats on here. People forgetting Suarez should have been sent off at goodison.

Shit game, fair result. No boxing in town and merseyside police happy *ok*

The ref didn't do anything over the elbows but I have the utmost confidence the FA will take retrospective action.
