Liverpool vs AM CL (0-1)

We just need to go for it. They're not a particularly great side any more. Difficult, well drilled, well organised, sure, but they are more than beatable by 2-3 goals at Anfield.

The only debate is what midfield Klopp decides to go for and that all hinges on Henderson fitness. I would like to see Fabinho dropped. He's far too error prone to currently play in a game when an away goal would prove so costly. I'd start a trio of Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner and then bring Chamberlain on in the second half.

I want to see us have the odd shot from outside the box in the first 20 mins, make them think twice about just sitting of us when we get towards edge of their box. Do that a couple of times and it should bring options of quick one two's.

They are not particular pacy - if Klopp does not want Henderson to come straight into this game then I am pretty sure the midfield will be:

Gini, Fab, Milner - I cannot see Klopp dropping Fab, and he will want Milner for sure. Not sure he will start Ox in this game even though we do need the goal, but he maybe bought on later, along with Henderson (if Henderson does not start). The rest of the team will be the usual lot (except Adrian in place of Alisson of course)

He wasn't even fucking injured. Neither was gomez the week before.

No way if he was injured or even a doubt that klopp would have said immediately he would be fine for Wednesday. No chance.

Klopp has a record of resting the full backs one after another, & did it with Robbo for Bournemouth away last season too.

You mean like Bournemouth were beatable by 2 or 3 goals

Anyone think we might go left field and put on all of Divock, Bobby, Mane and Mo from the start? Maybe something like the below?

------------Adrian------------
TAA---Gomez--VVD---Robbo
--------Hendo---Fabs---------
Salah-----Bobby------Mane
------------Origi---------------

I don’t believe that. I think we probably have analyzed them well and can pull a surprise but I can't see us not protecting ourselves when it is so crucial to not let in an awaygoal. If we are to push them back it is more with using the fullbacks to double up on the flanks and pushing a midfielder into the box rather than adding an additional attacker in the middle. But your guess is as good as mine.

If Robbo is back and Alisson out, then I'd go.

Yes, I put Lallana in there. I just think the Ox is offering fuck all at the moment and needs a bit of bench time. I'd even play Shaq there if he was ever fit. Keita might be a stretch.

How has this score played out previously? Teams winning 1-0 at home in the first leg have progressed 23 times and been eliminated 10 times.

Salah...........................Mane
....................Origi................

Origi central, but can swap places with mo or mane in an instant. A whirling dervish of a front 3 which enables space for the midfielders to run in to and exploit.

Second half if we're getting nowhere:

------------Adrian------------
TAA---Gomez--VVD---Robbo
--------Hendo---Gini---------
Salah-----Bobby------Mane
------------Origi---------------

Lost a bit of protection by removing Fab, but hendo can do the role well, and Gini is nothing if not solid and sensible with possession

I said it earlier in the thread, but this is exactly the kind of game I expect Ox to be potent in with his ability to drive at defences and eagerness to shoot from 20 yards.

I think he'll play and score.
