Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Thread

Really, really, REALLY good performance by the lads, down to a man. Everyone was fantastic, against a tricky opponent to boot. One of them where you can't pick a MOTM.

So many great performances all over the park today. Matip, Fab, Kelleher, Mane worked hard but seemed to have a lame end product today but wasteful, Bobby with the usual lovely touches etc but also a bit quiet. Neco and Jones both quietly went about their job and kept it simple most of the time but Trent coming on shows what we miss from that right hand side.

Robbo was brilliant though all over the park, passed to Sadio a few times when he should have gone for goal himself.

We tend to make hard work of games v Wolves but was pretty comfortable today. Super happy and would be great to have most of the players a decent rest midweek before the end of year run in.

Close run thing but Hendo just edges Robbo to MotM for me (I changed that even as I wrote it - it was that close) !

Was a good performance all round. Go for Gini as MOTM but everyone played well. Bobby is coming back to full form as well.Neco didn't do to badly either. Kelly in goal looks good..so far.

The defence was superb again ... that Fabs goal saving tackle on Coady was astounding and 40 secs later we were 2-0 up, shows how important it was, could easily have been 1-1.

Hendo, Gini & Jones all brilliant in midfield. I thought Mo and Bobby were great but Mane is still off a little and looks mentally jaded even though he ran his bollocks off again today. Welcome home Trent !

I think the issue we'll have with Kelleher now is that really tough choice keepers have to make. I know we've only seen a couple of games but he seems better than most in the league and he's got a career ahead of him. Might feel the need to move on.

That said with Alli's injury list he'll get plenty of games.

And another really, really disciplined performance from Curtis Jones. I don't think even Gerrard started quite as tactically-assured as he's done - and he's got more goals than Gerrard at this stage in his career. Fingers crossed, it's really good to see how he's bedding in.

I tell you what, that CB pairing is better than most of the league.

Superb again.

we’ve conceded just 6 in the 11 games without VVD.

I might have said a while back, the coaching staff REALLY rate him - I mean, Danny Ward, forget it, they really view him as a serious prospect. It's a perfectly rational idea that he might need games elsewhere, but they'll be loath to let him go even temporarily.

Jordan Henderson has been quite frankly sensational today, you just watch him, he runs our game, he's the best leader of a team I think I've ever seen.
For any team, but admittedly I pay MUCH more attention to Liverpool than anyone else.

Tough gane to pick a MoTM, lots of very good performances without anybody being head and shoulders above the rest. Fabinho, Henderson, Robbo, Gini were all excellent. Id probably give it to Gini just for his superb goal that won the game and gis willingness to play anywhere in midfield and never miss a beat.

Just a lovely performance. Robbo was my man of the match, but we're proving that hendo with the leadership he gives us, is our most valuable player. More so than even Virg.

What a move picking Kev over Adrian.

Nico stepping up

Curtis looks like he's been playing for us for years

Trent back

Naby back

Fans back.

Happy days...
