Karius will start in goal according to Klopp who expects to have a strong line up out.
He was talking up Solanke as well so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts too

Team News:

The German boss has been a vocal critic of the festive fixture pile-up and will use the FA Cup third round to give members of his 'Fab Four' a break.
Philippe Coutinho's future remains unclear, while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will attend an awards ceremony in Ghana less than 24 hours before kick-off.
Klopp has given his blessing for Salah and Mane to attend the African Football Player of the Year event – though they look set to be rested for the Merseyside clash.

KLOPP has just said in his presser : Karius IN. Ward on the bench, Ming rested. Hendo & Moreno could return to training AFTER Everton game. Salah & Coutinho injuries NOT serious. Both only out for a week. Coutinho will be available for Man City on the 14th. He will play his strongest available side in the FAC. VVD - no rush but it us undecided as yet.

The Everton manager shuffled his side for the 2-0 defeat against Manchester United this week, with Oumar Niasse, Nikola Vlasic and Mason Holgate all handed starts.
The trio are likely to drop to the bench with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jonjoe Kenny in line for a return to the starting XI.
Sigurdsson was an unused substitute at Goodison Park, while Wayne Rooney could also start having been substituted just after the hour mark against his former club.
Leighton Baines remains sidelined with a calf injury, while Maarten Stekelenburg (groin), Seamus Coleman (broken leg), Ramiro Funes Mori (knee) and Ross Barkley (hamstring) are also out.

Appaz Allardyce says he is going to unleash the shackles and attack us.

Bahahahahahahahaha!

Fat Sam sez:
“While security in the Premier League is always the priority, we are in the position where we go for it,” he said.
“It's not a league game, there are no points available, it's win or bust. It's simple as that.
“It's a Cup game, it's different to the Premier League, there's less pressure. It's a glory game and you go out and seek the glory and try to win it.
“If we want to go through then we have to beat Liverpool, it's as simple as that. Effectively a draw isn't good enough.”

Salah & Coutinho both not going to play. For me that means one of Firmino or Mane at a minimum has to play. I expect both to start.

Fat Sam also sez:
Cenk Tosun from Besiktas is now in final stages and hopes he can be used vs Liverpool in FA cup. "That might happen before the cup, we might even get him registered before the cup if we are lucky."
Cenk straight in. I reckon we should start with Grujic and let him break Fat Sam's new toy.

A signing plays a competitive game 24 hours or less after signing? That seems kinda mad in a world of i's and t's tha need dotting and crossing

Fat Sam simplifies the shit out of things. And as for acclimatising the new player to the team's tactics and style of play: "Just welly it upfield. And if you're upfield, welly it at the nets".

Can see another draw in this, Not looking forward to whatever team we put out.

He should have also pointed out that it's football they'll be playing. The game is on in Liverpool.
Captain Obvious like.

To be honest about fat Sam - he does know how to get the team to play the passing game, and he did it with West Ham quite well when he was manager at the place. If he knows we are going to be slightly weaker up front - he may go for it and we should be very careful without our fab '3' up front.

Also before we get asked again, no we can’t arrest anyone wearing half and half scarves as it’s not illegal........ yet

I guess if Mane doesn't get back, then it's a front three from AOC, Firmino, Lallana and Solanke.

I guess we will go with the rotation to an extent given the Burnley game was high intensity in draining conditions only 4 days ago.

On the bench for that game were Karius, Matip, Robertson, Milner, Firmino, Ings & Woodburn and there's a good chance all will feature tonight with the first 5 of them all starting. We don't have many other options so I'm going with

Karius, TAA, Matip, Klaven, Robertson ; Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain ; Firmino, Solanke. Subs : Ward, Gomez, Lovren, Lallana, Ings, Woodburn, Mane. Maybe VVD on the bench instead of Lovren?

Klopp has said he'll play the strongest team and for sure Mane is a consideration otherwise we'd have saved the money for a private jet and let them return on Ryanair or whatever Ghana's equivalent is.

Deffo VVD on the bench and getting 20 mins game time when we are 3 up, I want him in the team to play City ! Hopefully we see Ings on for 30 mins too.
