LIVERPOOL v Reading (H) FA CUP replay

I think we could be in for a real treat tonight btw.

Key players have had a good rest and seems hungry combined with the fact that we really want to win the FA Cup this Season = I can see us score a lot of goals tonight.

COME ON YOU REDS

I'd love us to keep a clean sheet and actually look like we know what we are doing when defending set peices. That would be good.

Send Lucas out to test the icy roads around Anfield
You know it'll take more than that for him to get injured.
The lad is bulletproof.

Just heard on RTE that Liverpool expect the game to go ahead despite the snow
RTE with their finger on the pulse, yet again.
Sorry?

The thing is I'd probably prefer Lucas to play against Stoke come Saturday than Aquilani, play the latter at home today instead and let him gain some confidence.

Isn't the fixture at the Britannia Stadium always rather Rugby-like?

Lucas is a bit more physical than Aquilani and that could come in handy.

Do you remember last season's game at Stoke with Lucas in the middle?
Obviously not.
I want Gerrard and Mascher in the middle, Yossi in the hole behind Torres.
Its the only way we're gonna get 4th spot this season

I imagine Rafa will put out a strong side for tonight's game with the exception of maybe Cav in goal, possible Degen on the right of defence.

It's not so bad for an early round of the FA Cup, against a not particularly good team, in freezing weather (by our standards anyway).

Thats ridiculously low. 30,000?

Not good.
it's not to bad considering how fooling cold it is. I reckon it will be even less that figure includes the auto ticket scheme some of them won't turn up, reading have only brought 600 fans with them.

Ok, it doesn't sound that bad when you put it like that. Any team news lads?

It's fucking freezing, it's an FA cup 3rd round replay, it's on terrestrial TV, it's midweek, we're a laughing stock on and off the field, we're having a shit season, we've got some *genuinely* dreadful players in the squad and we're playing awful football

I would say that's a pretty decent crowd

Liverpool: Cavalieri, Degen, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Aquilani, Lucas, Benayoun, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres

Subs: Aurelio, Babel, Ngog, Spearing, Skrtel, Gulacsi, Pacheco.

If we don't smash Reading at home, - will be disgusted.

Hopefully Lucas can raise his game to Championship standard, and Insua and Aqui won't be shit again

Aquilani hasn't been shite though has he? It's only when he came on against Reading away he looked below par. I thought he was quite good against Wolves and Villa.

Decent team. Hopefully Pacheco will get some playing time.

It would appear poor Yossi is shoved on the left again.

Very frustrating to see.
