Good post Sunny, I empathise completely.
I posted a thread along similar lines recently, then I thought that it was not right for fans to feel like this and it's at times like this we should stand up and be counted, but then I got around to your way of thinking..........
I can live with a team playing badly, or the luck going against it and the problems injuries bring, but to have no heart for a fight, and lack pride in the shirt is quite another thing, and on that the buck stops with the manager.
We could not make the replay last night, thank Christ, but it sounded as dire as anything that has been served up.
What makes it worse is all the "We're up for the cup" rhetoric that went on before from Rafa and the players, there are a lot of empty words being spouted.
He will have to go at the end of the season anyway, as there is no way we are going to make his "guaranteed" top four finish I suppose the question is will he go sooner?

Exactly Vlad. You can forgive and excuse a bad performance or result as long as you see heart and passion. As long as you see the players sweating blood and trying their absolute utmost for the cause. That's not there though is it? The fans do stand up. The atmosphere last night as usual, albeit not the most electric, started off fairly buoyant last night. And slowly, steadly boredom and nervousness creeps in and it's stifled.
As for the players "up for the cup" mentality I wish they'd just shut up. Actions speak louder than words and at the moment our players actions are equivalent to a faint whisper. They need to have a bit of self-respect and pride in themselves but sadly I really don't think many of them are that bothered about how embarassing they are. I'm genuinely downhearted and gutted about what's happened to our club at the moment. Proper down in the dumps. The hangover isn't helping of course.
